    There should be a fairly demanding driving test that one has to take every 5 or so years. Perform too poorly and your license is revoked until you can perform better. No reference to age, simply performance, so it's not discriminating except for what matters.

    Simple solution: authorize everyone with WiFi capability to access your network. The authentication is very strong, as anyone without WiFi capability will absolutely not be allowed to connect.

    I feel as safe on my bike as I do driving a car... if not safer due to the added awareness and fewer distractions riding a motorcycle gives you.

    And people feel safer in SUVs than in sedans, and safer in cars than in airplanes. One source I found claims that driving a motorcycle for the same number of miles as a in a car exposes one to 40 times the risk of death. Not saying you shouldn't use a motorcycle, just noting that feeling safe doesn't imply being safe.

    Obviously, they should have regenerated it when needed. Oh wait, that'd make the home button or whatever respond sluggishly while it rendered it on-the-fly. OK, they should have stored the screenshot in RAM. No, wait, that would have wasted memory and gotten them rightly criticized. OK, they should have written it to the same file over and over. No, wait, that would have stressed the flash memory (not to mention not be possible anyway, since wear-leveling doesn't care why you're writing new data; it'll move it around regardless).

    Are you kidding? With the rising costs of fuel, delivering those bits is COSTLY! And since text message content is very important, each bit is carefully wrapped in transit, to prevent any degradation. Voice calls may be cheaper, but their quality doesn't compare to crisp, accurate text messages.

    That is why I always early vote. It is on paper where I vote and that stands a better chance of getting counted correctly.

    How does this help when they'll be tampering with all the other votes cast at the normal time? Your vote being counted won't make a difference, but all votes being counted correctly will.

    Same goes for the zero pollution to manufacture; last time I checked, it takes food, shelter, diversions, etc. to "power" a human. I wouldn't be surprised if having people build things by hand polluted the environment more than by machine.

    And that same human requires those same things regardless of whether or not he's building a car from a kit, right?

    He could be doing something other than what a machine could do.

I wouldn't be surprised if having people build things by hand polluted the environment more than by machine. Sure, the machine generates more obvious pollution, but it's building them tens to hundreds as times as fast as a human.

    I just love it! Go price out the same specs with Linux or Windows. The Windows machines are cheaper! Gotta love this, Linux is now more valuable than Windows!

    If you calculate in Windows' negative value, it makes sense. It would be like buying a new car that had soda spilled all over the seat, discounted because you'd have to clean the crap out before you can use it.
