Sure, influenza might kill thousands of people, but some people are much more at risk than others. It's harder to rule oneself out as a target for a non-military attack, since it probably doesn't depend on whether you have a weak immune system, ingest harmful substances on a regular basis, or spend extended hours in a vehicle. This theory is even testable: I predict that people living away from cities and who aren't dependent on infrastructure will be more worried about illnesses and hardly care about terrorist attacks (unless they have loved ones living in large cities).
The words without context mean what he meant, but in the context of Shakespeare (which he quoted it in), it means something different. Why quote it in context if it's meant out of context?
I had thought that one couldn't really put something in the public domain nowadays, just grant a license that allows anyone to use the work. Apparently U.S. Government works are in the public domain, and maybe other works made after 1923 as well: Copyright Term and the Public Domain in the United States
Visit a video sharing network or peer to peer website and identify which materials are copyrighted and which aren't.
I visited Jamendo. All the material is copyrighted.
Sounds like a trick question. What video material isn't copyrighted? As far as I know there's no way to revoke copyright, and anything you make is automatically copyrighted.
My mistake, I misread "are" as "as". Correctly reading your idea, I agree with it. The computer ballot station serves as a more friendly way to fill in the ballot and not prone to any error since the computer can give feedback before printing it.

Have one machine with fancy GUI's that are easy for people to use, which PRINTS a clear paper ballot on which the marks are both human and computer-readable (think of the little ovals you used to fill in with #2 pencil, only bigger ovals) and then a *seperate machine* which does nothing but scan and count the ovals.
Mr. Hacker has it print your selections but fill in the ovals differently. What's the point of a human-readable printout when it's not the one being counted?
Funny, I'd say they were copying the West, where we are always looking for more ways to restrict consumers/customers/citizens. Maybe Iran is leading the way for reduced functionality at higher prices!
I also consider myself a non-television watcher (going on 5 years now). I rent a DVD or two a week and watch it when/if the desire comes, and some weeks I don't rent anything. The fundamental difference is that I never worry about missing something. When visiting my mother, a TV fanatic (oh, sorry, it's Christian TV, so it's good!), she's always interrupting our visit to check if something is on or to record it. The ads on TV piss me off, but that's nothing compared to being a slave to their program schedule.
On the other hand, I read Slashdot a little too often, not wanting to miss the interesting stories. Still nothing compared to the rot of TV.
I just want to point out that there are no choices of violence when playing a video game. The only thing the player is ever actually doing is pressing buttons. Nobody is every being violated while playing a video game. There is virtual violence, but like virtual unicorns, it is not real.
To further agree with your post, YouTube enables sharing of material in the first place; if you want to apply the term there, you might as well claim that they are censoring posting of JPEG images and mp3s too. Censorship applies to cases where public expression is suppressed by the government, in which you have no alternative. I believe the relevant word here is misrepresentation, and doing this dilutes the concept of censorship.
That semicolon is only one of the many problems with that sentence. I re-read it and my mind is left in a jumble: 18 year old guy, something prompted him to take some step, reason emerged from love of gaming... what?!?
That i=i++ search tops the incorrect memset usage one! Many layers to this one that make it funny... since the result is undefined, i could be left with any value. Actual implementations would likely either leave i with the same value or its value + 1.

According to the summary, about 0.5 C cooler.
Burn all JPEGs! It's a big file format anyway; you should use JPEG compression anywa..er.. hmmm. We have a problem, Houston.
And I was silly enough to think that this kind of bullshit was past us with the end of the GIF issue.
I am SO GLAD I read your post just now. I was forgetting to breathe! Thank you, Slashdot.
You can if you're a fanatic. Fanaticism on either side of the issue is a danger.

That line may not mean what you think it means.

Wow, are all these players part of the same band, or are they separate groups? They sure have odd names.
Oh, nevermind, I see that your apostrophe key is apparently broken.

A: Some folks calls it a sling blade, I call it a kaiser blade.
Oh, sorry, wrong topic.

Hell, two of those couldn't even power much more than a 100W light bulb!
No wonder I've never come across an Irish website! I'll have to use -A flag in the future.
Only a terrorist would build a device like that!

Do they run anything useful on the TV itself, or is this a nice way to waste electricity 24/7?

Ahhhh, that explains those over-priced shiny coasters and extravagant carrying cases for them.
