I wonder what would have happened if you have posted the names inverted. I bet people would've believed Cleverbot sucked just as much as they do with what you posted.
User: Of course you do, this is the point of a turtle!
^^ That doesn't past my turing test. Unless I know the person has a very internety sense of humor.
yep, that was anticlimactic. Nike usually does good ads but that one didn't follow suit. I thought they'd tie themselves near the end (in sync or just on of them but something...).
meh.
Odds are I won't pay for a overpriced nike shoe unless it's a Pegasus for running.
I'm talking about physically signing receipts that are placed in front of me. I sign the copies and keep the originals but there's no Fax or any other electronic device involved in those scenarios.
Specially mi signature. I swear since I don't have to write so much with a pen and have to sign from time to time a lot of receipts it never comes out remotely similar to the previous one.
I think there are other means as to verify if I signed something or not in case of fraud than by just looking at my signature.
That's a great documentary. Specially the part where he goes to Xerox labs and is allowed to look at all their development (they even had GUIs) because the execs in charge are too dumb to listen to their employees.
I use vim for python as well (although I haven't been using it for more than six months so I still have a lot to learn) but, to my knowledge, no auto completion is as good as the one in VS.
That might be a big plus for some people, specially if they can't afford or don't want to spend time tweaking vim/emacs to fit their needs.
Having said that, after learning vim, I'd hate having to use an IDE without it's keybindings (thank God for vsvim and jVim).
I haven't played a lot of RPGs, but all RPGs that had magic in them (specially roguelikes) had different magic scrolls you could read for one time effects. Like wands in NetHack, if I'm not mistaken.
Magic Scrolls, therefore scrolls, are common in RPG games.
Laugh all you want but his is not such a weird assumption without more facts about the subject.
And you already have proof that Google did the logical thing for a company and downplayed the magnitude of the event. They said 2 cars were involved when it was really 5.
Then again, it's what all smart companies will do when facing similar problems. It rests to see if they're able to handle the many variables in a man + robot traffic.
And this is why I think Contests make for one of the biggest legal scams of the internet age.
Some might turn out wonderful for the winners but beware of any resource provided by the organizers that might render your own work unusable (unless you win and only on their terms). If you intend on competing for a prize and not just using the experience make sure you read the terms and conditions multiple times and ask around in case of any ambiguities or you might end up feeling quite disenchanted.
Besides, many people enjoyed that movie (even if we all forgot about it 2 days later). We may agree it is far from brilliant or original but if it entertained a huge number of people and made a profit from doing good advertising can you really fault them?
But you weren't supposed to ask that!

Cleverbot works in mysterious ways. XD
I thought you were able to shoot JavaScript code, not java. But I've just skimmed the article and the comments for decent jokes... :P
I'll check it out a bit more in depth later.

Also, "democratic" governments benefit from uneducated bases because they're easier to manipulate.
And when the ones who control the education of the masses see no benefit in improving it you're bound to have the symptoms you describe.
Concentration of money (and, by extension, political leverage), increase in the gaps between social classes, etc.

Oh, you'll love Argentina then, where you, as a citizen, have to fund the state propaganda channel and pay the license to broadcast futbol (soccer) for everyone in a country with huge margins of poverty.
She's getting re-elected soon. The displayed propaganda during half-time is working wonders and that's only one of a huge number of demagogic tactics.
I'm interested now.
Is there any open source search engine you'd recommend?
Yeah, well. I've been pretty busy to hand around on teh forums lately so this litte bit of "spam joke" came as a surprise
Yes, tourists are just anarchists who can whatever they want and have anything done to them. That's how it works. /sigh
1 Hour? I think you're being hugely optimistic and don't commute in public transport (Unless is insanely fast where you live).
Also, a computer with internet access does not equal to YOUR OWN device with internet access.
Disclaimer: I do not live in USA.
Thanks for that comment. You made my day. :)

I think you have to make some sort of Fight Club-ish equation involving probability of accidents, damages and overall revenue.

You did said htat we didn't land on the moon. Youre not to be trusted by your peers of slashdot. :P
I thought the same thing. Specially because this 19 year old didn't even have to leave the comfort of his home to potentially break the law.
Not precisely a maturing environment.
The world doesn't revolve around Desktop computers.

Thanks for being the voice of reason. Thank you. If I had mod points I'd spend them gladly.
The key concept is customization.
