Does it offer any protections against a possible "I did it for my safety" or "It was a matter of national security" or "I had reasonable expectations that it was vital to stop a crime"?
I'm downplaying the effectiveness. I'm not saying FB is not out to get every last bit of info out there. If you're very privacy conscious, there's quite a number of things you should be looking out before this one.
Btw, Thanks for the free insult, it's always good to see ACs being tough guys.
He said impersonate, not actually access. I'd imagine a decent email service would catch email spoofing though, and tricking 3 people without them getting in contact with the account holder doesn't seem likely either.
mmm... I saw it more in terms of some sort of extra authentication and it doesn't seem to be obligatory so I don't know why people are complaining that much.
Yes. There is a real world outside of your room. People socialize. It might be hard to recognize it from the center of the universe you are in but it happens.
Google doesn't negatively influence Mozilla in any way, though. And Firefox's usage of Google as a default search engine makes them a nice amount of money (Apple has an agreement as well).
Competing in the mobile market won't suddenly cut funding. Let's not pretend otherwise.
Ban them! definitively! The unfolding alone could cause a myriad of accidents.
Come to think of it, memorizing routes is dangerous as well. All that thinking while driving, removes focus. I'd say ban long travels. If you need to memorize it, better get a cab or something.
Yep. Talking with other people in the car should be illegal. Music should be illegal, remove radios from cars. In fact, GPS are also distracting, take em away!
Yep. That's the ideal. Carry your computer/data processing device in the smallest possible way and be able to both project a screen in a handy mobile way and also connect to a real work monitor when you're at work/home.
With bendable screens and other technologies, we seem to be trying to go that way but it's still a long way to go.
The others have been great for a while. I honestly don't understand why people are so hung up on Ubuntu, it doesn't offer anything the other distros don't.
The same can be said about ANY other distro.
Arch is awesome but I wouldn't recommend it to newcomers. I would recommend Mint or Ubuntu for them though. So far, Ubuntu is visually very pleasing and its default state is usually preferred by new people (over Mint).
Debian can get in the way of easily installing some proprietary stuff and, also, because it focuses on stability, it might make you impatient if you're expecting packaging of new versions of software.
While it's fine to comment it here, you're probably going to have more impact by also voicing your concerns to kickstarter and/or the involved projects.
The alleged chat logs between him and Lamo are pretty clear as to the intent of the leaks. The public need to know of the atrocities that his government was engaging in.

If you have any real issues, file a bug report or complain with details. Don't vaguely spread bullshit.

There's already 5000 ways for them to discover what friends are more relevant to you, though.
They can analyze your interactions, your views of someones profiles/walls, your clicks on their shares, your groupings or other customized settings...
I don't think this is the sort of feature that will have so much adoption as to matter in that sense.

does Firefox do that? Do you know what Mozilla stands for? Research that and you'll have your answer.
What about the nostalgia factor? The original logo, etc.
I wouldn't tatoo myself ANYTHING but I don't see how that is bad...

I assume you've learned your lesson are not reusing passwords now, are you?
If you think it's too hard to remember them all, just use a password manager. Keepas, LastPass (this is not open so it could be vulnerable), etc.

Furthermore, 12.04 is the first LTS to be supported for 5 years instead of the former 3 years.
Probably the fastest way to get your latest linux distro (and Libre Office).
Yeah, cause reading emails will stop invasions...
You seem to be one of those guys that equates a criticism of Israel with anti-semitism. You're the only one trying to make this about a religion.

since IE9, it has been quite good but you should also check out the new and fast growing improvements in FF. Specially if you use nightly-builds.
Cite your source or shut the fuck up. Seriously.

May I ask where do you reside?
fun fact, I save slashdot pages and read them later (offline). So your analogy/joke is flawed.
