    The only coasters I ever made were because of defective cheapass BASF cd-r's... They were total crap. Most of the ones that burned fine and worked after burning now no longer work (some chemical process? who knows?) Never had a coaster with the other brands I use, Sony, Maxell, Memorex and Fuji

    I like pico... I always make a point of installing it on any new boxen (well, actually nano, but they're the same.) It works great for what I need it for (editing config files) I can't be bothered to learn a whole bunch of new commands for one of the other bloated, ugly linux editors people keep preaching

    When I was a young geek (1st computer at 6, commodore pet) it was my dream to work at PARC and do research. I was going to go get a PHD in computer engineering or something and research cool things. Oh well, guess it's a good thing I dropped out of college to be a coder

    The "music revolution" has already taken off, and it's out of the hands of the record industry. MP3 is a genie that can never be pushed back in its bottle. The record companies' revenue stream doesn't matter one bit to any music fan, they just want music and free is a damn good price.

    I'm actually surprised that they're not attacking MP3's more (not that they have a leg to stand on, but that never stopped them before) I expect to see lawsuits against shoutcast.com pretty soon though (for enabling the unauthorized rebroadcast of 'pirate' MP3s)

    Besides, we all have way too many MP3's by now to switch to any new format but MP4 (someone should hurry up with that too!)

    Me too! Well, second best... I prefer Ultraedit for windows because it has load from/save to ftp, which means I can edit php/pl/html/whatever remotely without the annoying ftp step. I saw a mention of the possibility of it being incorporated into future versions, PLEASE DO!

    You should look around and price some used/surplus lcd projectors, get a few video cards and you're set! Of course, you need a dim room and screens on your walls. Damn, that would be sweet!
