I managed to get the wheel working pretty well in whatever kde version comes with rh7, mozilla too... no click-and-drag to scroll, but i never liked that anyhow... i have a logitech mouse (cordless, no cords to snag and kill you) and have the wheel-click set to "explore my computer" in 98. Anyone know how to set up the same kinda thing in kde? It's HELLA useful!
no doubt... i can just see it now... all these redhat systems are running along fine (after the patch to the updating system) and they auto-update a "bug-free" package with a new version that has some bugs and BOOM! all redhat systems go down at once. heh, that would be pretty funny for everyone who wasn't affected. MS would definitely incorporate that one into their marketing.
Every time I hear some new stupid licensing restriction or some new way that Micros~1 is fucking over the consumers, it makes me feel less bad about pirating every one of their OS's since dos 2.11
haha... i used to do that too... collection time would come around for my paper route and i'd head to the bank and get a roll of quarters, then head to 7-11 and drop them in the gauntlet 2 machine.
See, it's true... Children who are abused become child abusers. How would you like it if someone 3x your size slapped you around because they didn't like what you were doing?
How close are we to being able to custom produce a strand of DNA? Once you can do that, you could say 'switch on the blond, blue eye and athletic genes and turn off all the diseases', squirt out a jar of DNA and inject it into all the little embryos you want.

Yes, but they are potential humans (like so many people I know) Don't they deserve the same chance as all the other embryos? Let them free to fend for themselves!
I'm all for banning dialup users from gnutella alltogether. They're too slow to download from, they pass packets slower, they download slow, and there's too damn many of them.
How come nobody's come out with a PDA that you can upgrade the LCD in? It wouldn't be too hard to make the LCD slide out so you could upgrade your B&W unit to colour. That way people wouldn't get stuck with as much non-upgradable old tech
Not if they powered the whole building with a few of them. It may be cheap enough to include the electricity in the rent, would kinda suck if one exploded though. (never know, look at lithium batteries)
Hear hear! The online manual for php (http://www.php.net/manual/) is awesome! The user input and suggestions are super helpful when trying to find the best way to do something. Made the jump from perl to php hella easy (heh, though it's not like they're vastly different languages)
Dude, one of the books listed IS O'Reilly. I bought the Pocket Reference and have found it to be completely useless ever since... sure, it's got all the commands in it, but the command and a sentence telling you what it does is kinda useless. No examples, no parameter explanation, nothing... This book is definitely the bottom of the heap when it comes to O'Reilly books.
Pirates know good software! NU is one of my favourite programs (or groups of programs I guess) ever since way back in the day when I was running dos 2.11 It's never failed me. I wish they'd port it to linux though.

(I *HATE* mice without a wheel)
nt (or not).
Uhhh... or you could just turn off the update daemon from linuxconf

I think there SHOULD be certain rights based on IQ level... the right to drive, the right to own a gun, the right to have children...
Uh oh, I better call my patent lawyer so I can sue someone over this later!

Free the embryos!

Whoever tests positive gets my vote!
The pro-drug culture is rarely allowed to do research, and any positive results are covered up if they are allowed.

How can we put Metallica out of business?
Information wants to be mine.
Who HASN'T leaked confidential information?
"I'm working on this great new project at work..." "My boss makes 120K"
This guy must have been an idiot though. How hard is it to leak some images and not leave a trail?
Steve Jobs couldn't run a company out of a paper bag.
You should relax, sounds like you have alot of anger.
