The economic realities of developing games induces what I call "The Lottery Mentality". Oh geeze.. This is almost too foolish bother with... The lottery is based on chance. Pure Chance. Yes, it is best to have both OO and procedure based. That's how windows does it. Everything is Win32 (strait C) and they wrap it with MFC (strait C++). That way you can choose to OO, or not to OO. Plus, the Win32 stuff is consistant with the MFC stuff. All very nice and organized. Either way, I quite that stuff and just do Perl now.
Anyone who charges $21.95/month is bound to get crushed. And some bozo AOL spokesperson said "It's all about loyalty" or something to that end. Screw loyalty! That is the stupidest business tactic I have ever heard! Loyalty only promotes inefficency. If we were all "loyal" to Linux then there would be no reason for it to improve.
