    guess what

    they still cant get past the if, else if, else logic developed 65+ yeas ago, its all still programmed by man, who cant translate all its brainpower into a simple T/F test of simple facts presented to the computer

    I feel safe for now, my damn computer is multiples of magnitude more powerful than when this research started, still cant complete a fucking update without waiting 14+ hours for me to hit a god damned button

    in fairness I went to randstad, a week later I got sourced to a job that I have been with for just over 2 years now, as a lab tech in an electronic engineering department. Exactly what I am qualified for in electronics when I took the position, and making a pretty decent living at now as I climb the ladder.

    Addeco couldnt even get me a box monkey warehouse job at the macy's distro point during Christmas

    you have to do much more than just send in a chunk of paper, but with addeco, its a unpaid full time job just to find day labor once a month, fuck those clowns

    since I was a netflix customer, but when I did have it, it was rare that I watched much on the streaming content, and none of it was new, which means your stuck waiting a couple days for the mail, meanwhile passing a dozen redbox's on the way home

    now are they serving the same thing as redbox online? fuck if I know, you cant even look at movies on either site without signing up, but to me it sounds like the whambulance is firing up over a betea service. I would actually take it seriously if apple, amazon, hulu, comcast, or any other service was also making the same claims, but it just seems like netflix's piggy streaming service is just cloggin up the pipes.

    80 bucks for a gigabyte board
    319 for the chip

    and I upped the video card from a ati6870 to a ati 7950

    or its was going to be 189 for the chip + 80 bucks for a power supply + 30-40 bucks for a decent fan to support it, so totaled up its not that much more than just the i7 (but yes I had to get another mobo, which I was planning on doing anyway, one for me, one for the wife)

    2 years ago? tech is like dog years, thats over 14 years in advancement and AMD is about 5 human years behind

    just keep cranking that clock speed, it will eventually burn out

    USB doesn't exist because of fire-wire, at the time they were for 2 radically different reasons, one was for simple peripheral devices, the other was for fast transport of large streams such as video. How USB won is because it was the port that seemed to do everything whereas firewire still limits itself to media equipment and hard drives

    I was sitting here looking to drop a new CPU in my quad core FX, but shit, to support the chip I needed a new power supply (650 watts now), and as it stands its not that far away from tripping a breaker (between 2 AMD computers hoggin power, lamps and a TV) AND its still a slower CPU, needs a replacement heatsink cause the coolermasters that come with the chip are loud as fuck

    I like my 3770k

    I installed my own windows 7 on this machine and with java, office, adobe, steam and some piss poor printer drivers all running + fire fox I am right at a gig
