Why is it that corporations always try and "shield" our lives from what they deem inappropriate. When you teach someone to use a hammer. That person can use it for what it was intended or he or she can bang someone's head open. That doesn't mean that we should not make hammers.
Since TV is becoming more and more "Reality" oriented. I believe that video games are "Reality TV" at its best. Since just like TV it is a different reality than the "yours" with the added benifit of actively controling it. As opposed to the TV one where you're just a passive viewer.
I wasn't referring to the installation of a Debian system from scratch. My comment referred to the smooth migration of a fully operational server to Debian.
I have encoutered the same thing when I visited the open source anti virus web site http://www.openantivirus.org. Truthfully I realize that something needs to be done. The question is, Do the law makers truly care? Or are they truly affected by such a protest? I want to believe that in our jaded world they would, but I highly doubt it.
With all due respect. There are some things that ought to be somewhat complex. When one deals with network security one might want to make sure that he/she actually knows what their doing.
I find it hard to believe that the book 'Sappers for Dummies' would appear on the shelves any time soon.
The information that the article mentions above, has been readily available on line in various howto's. Just follow the instructions that come with OPEN SSL or MOD_SSL.
I can honestly say that from personal experience you cannot assume that by paying more or relying on a brand name that you are getting a better quality product. The more complex products are the bigger the chance that more companies are involved in manufacturing the various parts that make the end product. Which means that the final assembly relies on other companies QC (Quality Control) and not just the company carrying the brand name.
Hi, I would recommend using www.guru.com. Register there (It's free) and you will find quite a bit of information regarding what you're looking for. Hope this helps Good Luck
I truly question whether it is realistic to bring the entire system down. There are so many servers around the world that offer a redundant service to those servers that it would be hard to actually "feel" that the root DNS server is no longer available. Which gives whoever quite a bit of time to be able to bring the affected system back up.
The easiest backup practice to implement that I am using is to make sure that you have a 2 copies of each media that you own, original + copy. Store one at home the other one at a friend's house. As for the data. There are many offsite virtual drive sites that allow you to upload data and store it there. By compressing and uploading your data once a week on to a third party drive you're actully storing off-site. Which means that if something happens you will have a copy of the media. Once the system is up you will be able to access your off-site stored data also.
The problem with unregistered opera is the fact that it comes with its own built continous banner aka adware. So no matter how many things you're able to block and no matter how is it is to do it you still have to deal with that.
What about security/encryption? I wouldn't get too excited everytime a company comes out with some wireless gadget without documented proof that they actualy made it secure for the user to use. And not just give him/her the illusion that they are wireless,"free". The true freedom is given to the hackers/crackers to access their data.

Do you really want Microsoft to have access to your already stable system?

Finally something that would pave the way and help all those that are "stuck" with RedHat servers.

Hi,
Sorry I don't have a good recommendation. I would recommend however staying as far away as possible from Interland and its daughter subsidiaries.

Why is it that slashdot found it 'news' worthy?
If it was truly a typo like you said. Why create a separate page for opera 7 if the IE version works just fine using Opera?
Will you stop addressing yourself like that.

Why pay for a browser when you can use browser that are just as good if not better for free?

What prevent Micro$oft from picking up the site after it is closed?
You raised some very good points. That I failed to see beforehand.
Thanks
With all due respect you and I both know that there is more to it than just an antenna.
