Interesting way to burn a billion euros. Someone correct me if im wrong, but isn't Europe almost as broke as the US? Why did they pick now to go study the Sun?
Yeah, so it seems. Being unconventional is no problem, loss of functionality or reliability is, hopefully neither will be. From the looks of it, the GB 2.3.3 rom can always be reloaded on the phone so it seems I have no reason not to give CM7 a whirl.
You are assuming he has the cash and the manpower to setup a virtual infrastructure. Not everyone is equipped to jump into virtualization and thin clients.
Its interesting how when OSX has a security hole, everyone downplays it as "not that serious, no big deal". In contrast, if this same issue happened with XP/Vista/7, then the entire/. crowd would be jumping on the bandwagon of Microsoft bashing, "OMG another MS security hole! See people, Windows is crap!". Its funny how people will defend their preference and bash their competitors, even though the root issue can be the same for both. Anyhoo, just an observation.
It blows my mind that people think this is a good thing. Why are people so damn eager to give up freedoms, liberties and privacies? Why do people want to live under constant surveillance? Why are people so eager to be cattle led to slaughter? FFS, crap like this should be causing outrage and riots. Instead people are complacent and eager for it.
I was more than happy to drop my DVD service and drop to streaming only. My wife and I stream tons of stuff and for only $8 a month it payed for itself long ago. Guess it all just depends on what you like to watch. We could care less about all the new crap that comes out, as we love all the old TV series that Netflix has.
Why is it the governments responsibility to pay those "with little to no money" way through college?
I picked it up immediately and im in Minnesota which touches Canada, does that count?
Yes, there are many areas where 4G coverage is great here in Minnesota.
So my new Evo Shift 4G will no longer have WiMAX/4G capability after 2012? Unlike some people, I don't buy new phones every 2 years...
Why would you give away a netbook? Throw your favorite Linux distro on there and be on your way. That's what I would have done anyways.

My guess is he/she refers to the HTC EVO 3D, which has a dedicated button on the side.
Correct, AB just provides semi-pointless commentary.
Why would they have to use the ISP's DNS? Its very simple to use whatever public DNS you please...

Same question I have(as a Evo Shift owner)...
I have with all my Dell work laptops and desktops that I run. Linux hosts, XP/7 virtual guests.

Some of us never left.
Same here. I was greatly anticipating it until the always connected single player stuff was revealed. I will not be purchasing it now.

Mod points to you sir, I agree heartily.

GeoWorks back in the DOS days...I still have my install disks.
Where does NT fit into your equation, seeing as you included 2000 which was meant for business-class, not home users as all the others you listed?
I love that game, still play it every so often these days.
I use this model at home, its great. I have no idea why people are so eager to spend $$$ to keep their crap out in a cloud. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822108065
Logan's Run was the first thing that came to mind for me..odd.
