Nor do most people with schizophrenia, but I think just about anybody who is *not* schizophrenic would regard it as a mental disorder.
For that matter, most drunk people don't consider themselves impaired. When your mental machinery gets a spanner in the works. your ability to judge your own mental state is one of the first things to go out the window.
Lack of R&D resources was definitely a problem, but the simple fact is that a Wankel crankcase is just a hell of a lot harder to machine than than the simple cylinders of a conventional engine.
Actually, it's along the lines of "you can take photos in public places, except for some places which we won't tell you about, and if we think you're up to no good"
A mall/shopping center is not a public place. It's not illegal to take photos there, but the owner can have policies against it and make you leave if you break them (and if you don't, *then* you're breaking the law--not by taking photos, but by trespassing).
They repeatedly cited statistics that 1% of the population has a disproportionate share of the income and wealth. If you want specific numbers and definitions, go to Paul Krugman's column in the NYT.
If you want a specific goal, it's to eliminate that injustice.
Closer, but still not a goal. What constitutes "eliminating" that injustice? What, exactly, is "disproportionate", and what would be "proportionate"? Does everybody have to have the same wealth, get the same income? If not, what figures are acceptable?
Yeah, I've seen those. Dog-barking moonbat insane. They couldn't make a better effort to completely destroy the already wounded US economy if they studied it for five years. If that's actually their agenda, I'm against it. I'll donate money to prevent it from happening and I have *never* given money for a political cause before.
Eliminating "Economic Injustice" isn't a specific goal. It's a spongy buzzword which everybody gets to define that way that makes *him* feel warm and fuzzy inside. When it comes time to implement it, it falls apart when everybody suddenly realizes that they didn't really all agree on what needed to be done after all.
that's why we have State Universities and Community colleges
Who are *also* raising their prices because subsidies are creating more demand than they have supply to fulfill. They just get most of it directly from the state--although the direct cost to the student has been trending upwards too.
I WANT to replace the entire fs/lvm/raid stack! It sucks! It's complicated, limits functionality and is a nightmare to maintain. ZFS is simple, flexible and powerful.
"They must be that flight of B-17s we're expecting in." And the lieutenant in charge didn't bother to tell anyone else. (True! The B-17s in question got a helluva shock, too; they actually showed up in the middle of the attack.)
Whenever I have to deal with a Windows support call my first question is always "What version are you running?" because nothing's the goddamn same between them when you have to look at the control panel.
Which, of course, leads to a lot of:
"What version are you running?" "Windows!" "Yes, but what *version* of Windows?" "Microsoft Windows!"
Having working in support for a medium sized software company that only releases Windows software, I can tell you there are quite a few people that use Macs *but are forced* to use Windows as well.
There's an old saying about plans in the military "The best plans only last until the first bullet flies" and it's true... but that doesn't mean I didn't spend hours and hour planning operations. Sure nothing ever goes exactly according to plan, but a good plan considers as many variants and contingencies as possible in order to anticipate reactions and minimize disruptions to operations.
To quote Eisenhower, who possibly faced the biggest challenges of this sort one man ever had to: "Plans are worthless, but planning is everything."
But I didn't even *say* "Niagara Falls"...oh shit...

"Unwarranted"? Oracle kicked them out!
...I'd pretend I was one of those deaf mutes.
Or they could do what the people who *didn't* do what IBM and Dell did.
Oh, yeah, that's right. They're all out of business.
You can't polish a turd. A bug can be patched. An intrinsic lack of quality cannot be; you have to junk it and start over.

"Classification RED, friend computer!"
"I'm sorry, that information is not available at this time."

A risk system that nobody pays attention to is no different from not having a risk system at all, except that you're paying for it. As UBS found out.
Which, of course, leads to a lot of:

"Yes, but what *version* of Windows?"
"Microsoft Windows!"
Fixed that for you.

But the amendment doesn't require war. "Time of public danger" is good enough.
Because the sun is a miasma of incandescent plasma.
And what are we gonna do unless they are?
They also don't ask if you sing like Olive Oyl on purpose.
