How difficult would it be to drop a NASA LTE tower on Mars and a GPS sat?
Say what you want but about the idea... but GPS / LTE is fairly useful on earth. Interplanetary text messaging fees, knowing Verizon, would be about $140,000 each.
He might be a tactical genius and raped computing for a few generations of humanity, but at least Commodore Gates is trying to make mends with the planet by doing good deeds.
Who the fuck cares how many Twitter followers a said person has? Is this the new e-penis? I assume it has to do with spam and advertising somehow (exposure hits) but in all, it sounds silly.
I get a hilariously good gaming system every 4 years. I did that a month ago.
Like I just bought Skyrim during the $30 steam sale. Since it's Bethesda I immediately went over to the local modding site (nexus) and looked for the community highest end texture and additional sound pack.
If you're going to dump hundreds of hours into a game, might as well look at something nice. Fallout 3 / NV anyone?
Just for fun I uninstalled the packs and played the first hour with vanilla. It was an entirely different (worse) experience.
The game is really boring, repetitive, BUT it's pretty. That's what I like.
No xserves, Lion Server is a piece of shit, ARD is a $90 add-on, took 3 years for a corporate iOS configuration tool, 5 for a competent one, Final Cut X rivals Windows Movie Composer, Mac Pros are $4,000 for almost 3 year old hardware, and with 10.8 tethering every machine to the App Store there are no "unregistered" machines...
Continuos 5% more dick waving of the time means upgrades are worth it after 3 or so years. Assuming the drivers aren't tweaked. It keeps the industry healthy.
First off his daughter the comic is kind of hot...now actually on topic I would demand that my area be removed from a paper map. What he is trying to say but failed miserably because he's both old and not knowing what he's talking about on a technical level is where is the cut-off line between information and privacy. If I go outside, I can see homes. If I look on a map, not really. If I look on Google Maps, I can see a birds eye view of things.
Also.. wasn't Microsoft Flight Sim to blame for 9/11 training or some junk like that? I mean really?
Hot and cold isn't that hard. Maybe I am missing a point somewhere.
You take the heat energy biproduct from a processor and dump it somewhere else. In "normal" this case, an air conditioned room. Heat dissipated is being countered by air conditioning going 24/7. More energy.
Instead of watercooling, which can refrigerate a fluid (more energy in put and unusable for anything else), this removes waste heat and reuses it elsewhere.
This isn't going to work but... Instead of sitting in the tub and pissing in it continuously, your waste is being used somewhere else. (This is Germany after all)
Has anyone ever tested if we actually need air conditioning for a server room? I mean transform one into a "wind tunnel" where the waste heat is either ejected outside or used internally? Instead of a giant cube... what about a rectangle?
Will this lead to.. yo dawg I heard you like blades so we made your rack of blades into a blade?
I'm curious.

Maybe not so much.
However we don't get to see full nuclear warfare because Tim Cook isn't Steve Jobs. Tim Cook is a peace maker. Steve Jobs was a psychopathic OG.
If we wanted great entertainment, Steve Jobs, I honestly believe would spend hundreds of billions to just fuck Samsung.
Beta test on the moon not on Mars.

Apollo was alpha.

Hi friends. I present a question.
Who the fuck cares how many Twitter followers a said person has? Is this the new e-penis? I assume it has to do with spam and advertising somehow (exposure hits) but in all, it sounds silly.
Double anal inspections for everyone.
How dare you question your government?
What about the other 51 apps you probably have on your phone that you used once? /also guilty
Bioware broke their game on Windows too, friend.
P2P = the last gasp before it chokes and dies.
I'm a graphics whore.

15.0 is like 3.9, right?

They're pro-sumer devices anymore.
Never saw a webOS and an android clone before.
For fuck sake someone invent something new.
Apple has also been going out of business for 35 years.
If it's Texas.... should have said "God Particle" in the proposal.
Eleventy billion dollar grant.
Internet begging for steam summer sale?
Eh let's give them the internal movie tool for free. That'll hold them over.
.. and that's exactly what carriers are doing. Doing whatever is cheaper and easier for them. Do what you want.
that's why you shoot them first.
this is clearly a finishing move
and probably get fired

What if they realize.... there are actually US CITIZENS IN THE US MILITARY?
Oh wouldn't that be the day!
They keep plugging these systems into the internet.
Yes let's ignore the problem.
It'll go away.
First it was a military industrial complex, which at the time was a great idea, we are forming a commercial space flight industrial complex.
Anyone see the problem with this in the future? Am I missing something?
