Living in Alaska I can say that most of the people living here would love to have at least one of the bridges.

The first bridge to nowhere would connect downtown Anchorage ( biggest city) with the Valley. The net effect is this would shorten the commute for 10's of thousands of people who live in the Valley and work in Anchorage.

This would also open up development as currently there is little available land in the Anchorage bowl. All in all a very big plus for the mat-su Anchorage bowl and well over half of the residents of the State of Alaska.

The second bridge would connect Gravina Island with the main land in Ketchikan. The reason not few people live on the Island is due to the fact that the airport takes up most of the free space.

Currently the only way across is by the ferry.

It gets old hearing people repeat the bridge to nowhere myths born of political agendas and ignorance.

Germany's war was fought and lost on the Eastern Front.

85% of all German casualties were on the Eastern Front.

The German Army was mostly horse drawn and the tanks they used were old and outdated. The Russians had the T-34 and KV-1 Tanks at the start of the war and the Germans had nothing even closely as good.
What the Germans did have was radios in the tanks and good leadership and combined arms and better tactics.
Germany is well known for it's offence but what it truly was amazing at was it's defense.
After the first 6 months the German Army had lost over 50% of it's troops and even higher numbers of it's equipment. The offensive was dead and other than the 3 battles for Kharkov in Army group Center most of the fighting was defensive.
German production did not peak until late 1944 and to think that allied bombings slowed it down is simply not true.
Germany was not even close to be ready for war and the lack of war materials shows. Germany was building 40 tiger tanks a month when the russians were building thousands in 1943.
Germany victory in France was it's ultimate downfall as this embolded the German Army and Hitler into thinking they were capable of doing anything.

($10.00 more). 10 channels and 6 of them were the free over the air channels and the remaining 4 were worthless to me. So I told the cable company to shove it and bought a samsung HDTV receiver and can get 5 HDTV channels free

    over the air.

They look great and with NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS and FOX plus a few more at 480P I am more than happy.

I have a few shows I cant get that a friend records for me on his Tivo and uploads for me. Than I just watch those on the big screen via the computer/ 360. Since then I have had a few friends do the same and often people are always

interested how I do it. Not everyone will do this but more and more people are finding this just fine for there needs.

Distracted pilots are indeed a problem and often it leads to a fatal mistake.

Flying into a mountain or taking off from the taxiway rather than the runway. Cockpit recording play backs from these fatal crashes always have the crew focused on everything but flying. Often they don't notice right up until the end.

A pilots job is to continually scan all instruments and be alert to anything that could be a problem during flight. There are plenty of close calls than never see the light of day thank God.

the crack will let you get into the game, but will prevent you from progressing past the tutorial mission. It is funny seeing some people bitch that they cannot start a campaign as suggestions to fix this are to buy the game.

Silent Hunter 3 had starforce and there is a stickied thread over on the UBI forums on how to install the game using a crack.

Silent Hunter 4 had securerom on it and on the final patch removed copy protection from the game.

I see no reason to doubt that when the time is right copy protection will be removed from Silent Hunter 5 as well.

With the new graphics and much better modding tools that allow scripting SH5 a year from now will be the best Subsim to date.

Good news, but how could the school have thought they had the right to punish her for that in the first place? Posing the question not rhetorically but seriously. What is the source of society's attitudes toward the free-speech rights of 17-year-olds?"

This is not a case of free speech as people often misunderstand what exactly free speech means.
You can yell "fire" in a movie theater or insult your boss or company on facebook and than act surprised when you get fired or go to jail.
You are free to do those things, however your actions have consequences and getting suspended was the reaction to the students action.

They taxed the sale before the coupon price so I paid $12 in sales tax.

There are lots of people out of work in Arizona and many people are working 2 jobs just to get by as costs vs wages are not in sink for many mid lower income people. Seeing all of the empty malls and boarded up business I dont think that local business is doing so hot either.

Raising taxes is the last thing Arizona needs right now.

Government needs to learn to do more with less, just like everyone else in my opinion.
