It appears that you are one of those ignorant FLOSS detractors who tries to bitch that hijacking other people's code is "most expensive" while the alternative is... you investing your own time to fill all the countless man-hours that it took other people to build the software you are trying to sell off as if it was your own?
If you don't want others to use your code, why is it released under an open source license?
That seems to be a great way to get folks to avoid GPLed software like the plague. Here's another. The guy is cooperative and asks for clarification on what exactly the developers want done for compliance. What does he get? A whole lot of shit in return.
Don't forget the warm reaction of the open source howler monkies if you find out you *are* violating the license and ask for help in stopping. Some people like to complain more than anything else.
You just described NTFS shadow copies. Also, the recycle bin can have a set maximum size and it will start deleting the oldest files if it is never emptied.
How would you propose getting any of that shit into the country while the only people going IN are especially ballsy news media and mercenaries? Also, online doesn't work when there is no internet connectivity.
Two whole years ago? It's been in the hand wringing press for a decade or so. Might want to get off dialup, it's impeding your ability to get timely news.
I figured it out. You're a shit fetishist fanboy. Probably a furfag, too. My apologies to actual shit fetishist furries if I am wrong. Ps, get cancer and die. And merry christmas.
When Julie188 gets those specs, he/she/it will put up an awesome SF.net or Berlios or Google Code page with the specs and they'll shit out a 0.11a build that mostly compiles, then it will sit there until the specs rot out of relevance.
Yes, hardware vendors do have an incentive to support Linux... if they have their hands in the enterprise pie. Can't very well run your big, expensive Linux cluster (with big, expensive support contract) on Brand X hardware without hardware support. Desktops aren't servers, stop pretending they are.
That's because they fucking aren't first rate consumers. The desktop Linux community seems to be made up mostly of contrarians and cheapskates that feel they are entitled to everything at zero cost and with zero strings. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I learned how UNIX works with Linux, the skills are invaluable, but for fucks sake, these companies put their resources where the people are, and that isn't on desktop Linux.
They probably did. It's a press release, and a one-way cryptographic hash is close enough to "encrypted" and a helluva lot shorter and more understandable to a non-pedantic audience.
And would the attacker who was pretty determined to hit this particular target stop just because they ran Linux? No, but you'd probably not hear too much about the exploits that got patched.
Who are you kidding? A toothless old man with a radio will probably schtup you just for the company.
Ooh, flamebait AND troll. I really don't understand this place anymore.

Slashdot can't be more than a few kilotons anymore. Crappy shared hosting.

And put up a big billboard in Arabic that says something along the lines of "AIM SHELLS HERE."

Less secure than PayPal arbitrarily seizing funds? If I gave half a shit about this, cash and a stamp would be much better options.

You will when your ISP mandates IPv6. See how that works? There needs to be some reason for them to keep making new consumer gear.
What motivation would Cisco possibly have for providing firmware updates to old, cheap routers?
I'm not worried. Those nukes are paid for, and will become remarkably liquid when we need them.
Talk to Europe about that one.

I'm not playing this game all night. Go play tuxracer or some shit.
They do if they are rendering something or using CUDA. Not entirely sure what I would apologize for, I haven't even gotten insulting yet.

Maybe if all 50k of your users ponied up a buck or five in earnest money they could pay Netflix to create a client for them.

Try a supported platform, you'll have better luck.
