Give it a few months and someone will finally discover something hidden inside causing an uproar. Just as was the case with the AIG bonuses included in the Stimulus bill. Politicians will look around, "What?!? Who put that in there?"
You can't expect politicians to be accountable for what they write.
Illegal aliens: You are racist. They are not criminals. They are not doing anything illegal. They just want to work hard and provide for their families. The existing laws are racist, put in place by Republicans I'm sure. Have some compassion and just let them do whatever they do! It'll be alright, I'm sure.
Being able to show a Street View picture of where you are going to turn will be killer for a major portion of the public, women. I lost count of how many times I've tried to give the wife directions and receive that blank stare back. Even getting her a GPS hasn't built any confidence in her ability to move around a small area. She knows her set of stores she goes to and that is it. Show her to turn at the McDonald's and such and she could be better able to navigate.
How about James O'Keefe and Hanna Giles (the ACORN undercover videos)? Granted, they weren't salaried, but the Internet can produce a good story. Without Youtube, blogs, etc their story would have not gotten the press it did. It will probably be a few years yet before these sort of Internet journalists get more practice and find the right niche, but it's a start.
Why is accounting running rogue software without permission from the CFO? How about "CFO: Why the hell is this accounting peon running Excel when the company switched to Open Office months ago? Fire him for piracy."
If you don't implement a standard company-wide, then you will run into trouble. Simple.
See Whoopi Goldberg on The View discussing Roman Polanski. Apparently, according to her, in Europe, 13-14 year olds are seen as fair game for drugging and sex. That's one wonderful "view" there from Hollywood...
The Internet uses IP. Google is on the Internet. Google Voice uses voices. Therefore, Google Voice is Voice over IP.
For a technical crowd, the folks here haven't been able to wrap their head around just what Google Voice is. Every story that comes up (especially the GV Iphone app store thing), bunches of people post how GVoice is VOIP, blah blah blah. It is just a call router and voicemail.
... because when the evil app gets ahold of your phone number, then they can call it and type your PIN of 1234 to delete all your voicemails. This has serious security implications that must be addressed immediately! Down with evil apps!!
But imagine if you wait another three years, the price might be $150! Then you'll have twice as much smug satisfaction as the suckers who bought the system on day one and have been enjoying their games all this time. Plus, if the Wii collapses in that time, then you can come back ten years later and say how you didn't buy a Wii and are better then all the suckers who did!
And wasn't the Xbox Arcade system going around $150? Maybe that was just a sale price, but it should be able to be had for around there.
Well, if they want to recruit Firfox people, they need to make one! That's all they will understand. Just say the plugin adds the ability to whitelist sites and they'll be none the wiser.
So true. More benchmarking tests need to include seems per second. I mean, come on, it's the 21st century and all! At least, it seems to me they should. That way their reports will seem much more seemingly accurate to what I want them to seem.... I think.
Think of how the person being murdered might be feeling during the act. It's one thing to get shot in a drive-by. You don't see it coming, you have some pain, and you're dead. Simple, clean, efficient. But, if someone were to call you a name and then shoot you, now you're feelings are hurt and you are in pain! That is out right horrible and must be dealt with swiftly!
But, what about the business that just signed up with Google three hours ago? They've already had 33% of their time down. That's horrible. I don't know why anyone would use them with that record.
That is the sort of image the President wants Americans to believe. Everyone in healthcare is incompetent, corrupt, etc. Only He can save you if you get sick, not the evil doctor who just wants to take your tonsils out to buy another Lamborghini.
If these pesky people don't get in his way, everything would be just right [or is it left?].
Give the Magicjack device a try then, $20/year. I dropped my cell phone recently (barely got use and waiting for more Android phones to come out), and picked up a Magicjack to use with my existing Google Voice account. MJ doesn't support very many area codes (only major cities it seems), but GVoice does, so I have a local phone number for others to call me.
The only breakups in voice calls I've had were while downloading a big file, saturating my line. Traffic shaping should fix that, once I get around to it.
US Cellular has had it for years. At contract signing, I could pick either free incoming or free nights and weekends. Then you can buy the other option for $5 per month per line. They even have free incoming text/picture messaging (which I took advantage of plenty). With all that free time, I was able to just get by with the lowest (500 I think) minute plan for the wife and myself.
By your comment, I guess AT&T and the other carriers don't offer any such options? I have been wanting to switch to get an Android-based phone sometime soon.
Have you ever clicked on the link labeled "Settings" on the Google Voice page? Down there a ways is a checkbox with the words "Transcribe Voicemails" next to it. Remove the checkmark there, and then click the "Save Settings" button right below it.
I suppose the one way AT&T can "lose" minutes is if you have a plan with unlimited incoming calls. With the Google Voice web site, you can place an outgoing call, which makes Google call your phone (appearing as an incoming call) then connect you with your destination. That would allow one to have everything be an incoming call on the phone bill. Are there any carriers that have a contract with zero outgoing minutes? The smallest I can recall is about 300 minutes a month.
This model was on Good Morning America today, she knew the woman a little bit. Here is more of the story.
"Thank God it was her... she's an irrelevant person in my life," Cohen said. "She's just somebody that, whenever I would go out to a restaurant, to a party in New York City... she was just that girl that was always there."
Hillary (She IS the Secretary of State!) has said this week we are just as corrupt as Nigeria. Therefore, your politicians are fair game to take money.
Oh yeah? Well, I saved 500,000 jobs because I didn't go to businesses and fire that many people. Oh, look at me! I'm a superhero!

Lord, I hope so.

Ah thanks. I was waiting for the right moment to jump in.
Now, what's this ex-box you youngsters keep talkin bout? What was it changed into? Back in my day, we had cardboard boxes, and we loved 'em!

They make a little microSD to Memstick converter thing. They're more than an SD at 16+ GB, but still cheaper than a stick.

And Durbin wants to bring teen El Savadoran girls to a brothel near you! Double win.

everything just seems fast
