Advertisers have become spoiled by over the air TV and radio with given prices where viewership equals value and blocking adds amounts to ignoring them or going to the restroom when they come on. Online they have to actually serve that ad to someone that isn't actively blocking it to make money.
There is the problem as it already exists services can ignore ad blocker, not allow ad blocker, or politely ask for you to turn off ad blocker with the option to subscribe for an ad free experience and as an online advertising firm this is a bad situation because it is going to cut into their revenue no matter which. They are left with finding a way to compel people to want to view their adverts such as adding value somehow or find away to get rid of ad blocker.
I have no problem turning off ad blocker for sites that provide content I enjoy and I trust enough to that they won't knowing allow virus and malware infested adverts on their site.
more importantly, since when is advertising considered press or a protected form of speech and does this mean I have to allow [insert activist nutjob's opinion] to be plastered all over my computer.
If my neighbor landed a helicopter in their back yard I would not be worried about the noise because chances are it would take out power, cable, telephone lines, and a few trees not mentioning the damage the falling limbs and lines might do to structures like the garages, sheds, or houses. That is if they could land safely at all.
Chances are he won't be launching any bricks or salt bags through the back window it's more likely they'll just slide on the rihno liner but it has a fairly porous surface compared to a painted metal truck bed so even that doesn't slide around as much as you would think. I know not everyone likes rihno but the liner has protected the truck bed for probably two decades and although the truck may have it's problems rust is not one of them.
I don't have a cat but it snows frequently enough that I just stock up on salt which already comes in thick plastic bags. He tossed a few bricks and bags of salt in the back up against the tailgate.
It's not just the tires which appear to be fairly new goodyear all season, it's old, has a funky clutch, rear wheel drive, and I think it's a limited-slip differential.
All in all the design of the truck, the rear end, and the funky clutch makes it hard to handle on ice and snow, but in nice weather it's a little for 91 ford ranger with a 5 speed so it fun to drive and can tow a small boat or atv.
This is what I don't understand this is about more than backdoors it's also about outlawing certain encryption types which could make securing financial data difficult, hinder e-commerce, and eventually result in a rise in identity theft and fraud. As far as I know these things are not the the concern of the NSA but are absolutely something the FBI would investigate why does it appear that these positions are reversed.
They are not making money off your property... installing their search makes them no money, you using it on the other hand allows them to make money off of you even if indirectly.
The problem they have isn't that people know they have a deal with apple but that putting the details of that deal out make it harder to negotiate with others. We want the same deal apple has... when you make sales like apple you can make those demands until then... not so much.
My brother sold his truck and purchased something that handled much better on ice after it lost control on a long narrow bridge covered in ice that he has to travel every day to work.
Coincidentally he sold it to our other brother who recently gave it to my son for his sixteenth birthday and thinks it's awesome because it slides around in the snow.
from the microsoft account team outl.ook@outlook.com and a link to update my account information on some domain registered out of india that has been revoked... my spam filter caught it along with some similar ebay ones.
My wife told me once "If we ever get divorced I'm keeping the penis, you'll just have to learn to pee sitting down." sadly I didn't have a good come back at the time.
Maybe you should move to Salem, Massachusetts, and bring back witch burning while you're at it...
Oddly I had to look up if adultery where a crime in my state because I didn't know. Apparently it's a misdemeanor and can be used to deny a no fault divorce which would allow you to seek alimony. Massachusetts adultery is a felony and you could serve up to four years in prison.
Putting aside the underlying puritanical bullshit, who broke the law here? Yes, that's right, the hackers and the extortionists.
Depends on where it happened there are still plenty of states in the US (around 20) and other countries where adultery is a crime. It's a class c misdemeanor in my state so a small fine but it can be used against you in divorce proceedings to get alimony.
Things like this always remind of movies like "taken".
It's all fun and games until they pick a serial killer that hears god's voice telling him to punish the wicked and is using the site to lure sinners to a horrible death.
You're just wishing it away. The average kid scoring some weed today is winding up with, and smoking, far more "ditch weed with meth" than their previous generational counterparts were.
You are talking about something that has an inconsistent deliver method, is difficult to measure, is only used to treat symptoms, when there are more easily measured/delivered alternatives. Although for recreation it can grow in fairly diverse conditions, would be hard to control and tax, would probably end up getting mixed with other more dangerous things like it already is, and would be problematic testing to see if someone is currently under the influence when they operate heavy machinery and cause an accident.
It's probably a difference in use since I'm not really a gamer but also a difference in board and the resources installed my fx 6300 system has a better graphics card and more/better and ram still cost less. I'm sure if I upgraded the ram, hard drive, and graphic card on the i5 it would run a hell of a lot better but then again we are talking the difference in a pre-built expensive i5 system and less expensive custom built system.
I have a FX-6300 3.5Ghz and a i5 3.2Ghz they are not really even as far as specs or cost but neither require an extra cooling system the FX blows the i5 out of the water and the i5 still cost considerably more. You can make want you want of that but I'll buy an FX-8350 before I'll spend more on an i7.
When a woman tells me she likes my hair, I don't usually take it as a sexual advance unless she is trying to touch it in which case I find this awkward and a little uncomfortable. Most times it turns into a conversation about hair care products although not always.
I have long hair and have no problem talking about how I keep it or what unmanly products I have to use to make it shiny. I've never complained that a woman sexually harassed me but probably should have on a couple occasions.
I got a call at work the other day that I thought I recognized the number I was in a good mood and thought about answering "IT, have you tried turn it off and on again?" but settled for "Technical support, I'll be your password reset technician today."
Turns out it was a scammer claiming to be from MS... so after he said his intro I said "Yes, you've reach technical support. Do you need me to reset your password?" then he stammered and and tried to explain about how my computer was having issues and I said "Ok, I have reset your password but it will take about 15 minutes for the changes to go through. If you have any other issues go ahead and call back."
I know very few people who actually think autonomous cars are a good idea... although all the research could return new driver assist technologies that may be useful and not be so hazardous, but not collision avoidance those cars those already recalled... anything that can notify the driver of useful information but not interfere with the vehicles operation.

No but I read a story about a them using it against a rape victim to compel them to testify in 2009.
I take it that it is rarely prosecuted and only used in divorces as cause for alimony.

Fixed that for you.
