Yeah, but you would think that the "Land of The Free" would have guaranteed internet freedom much earlier than anyone else. Instead, they are busy trying to lock it down.
The ability to make a device run unsigned code has everything to do with security, especially considering that jailbreaking relies on exploits found in the software. It's not that hard to imagine using the same exploits to run malicious code.
Well, it's not like they will gain a lot of new fans. Comic books aren't really popular even now that everyone is into superheroes and such. Meh, I'll check it out.
I bought this game and I've been wondering about that. I don't think that you have to activate to play, though. The game will install without activation and then you can just patch it.
A lot of people fear that GM crops will become all too common. That means more Monsanto-like business practices. This is a good experiment, but we should first protect farmers from patent lawsuits and things like that.
This is retarded on a single point. How can they break the injunction if it wasn't directly filed against them. It's not as if all Twitter users work there.
That's ridiculous. Games bring in tons of profit even at that price. Even when games drop the the $20-$30 level, they still make a profit. Games have always had inflated prices.
Hating what your country does when it does something evil, like killing or jailing protesters, is not Jew hating. Israels is a country that does not guarantee the rights of all its citizens, the Arab citizens especially. Israel steals land and only pretends to want peace. I guess it's only wrong if things like this are done to Jews, but no the other way around.
No one is arguing that Jewish people have rights in Israel, but try to find an Arab that is treated fairly there. Non-Jews are treated like second class citizens in Israel.
I would guess that it is reasonable to think that when Sony said it was bringing PSN back up, that they had figured out the extent of the damage. I don't know, maybe I expected them to be professional or something. How silly of me.
Well, what ARE they doing scheduling reactivation if they are not aware of the extent of the attacks? Something tells me that Sony just has poor handle on everything security related.
I love how you think that everything has to turn a profit. Your whole premise is false, since there are plenty of companies making millions from such software. Still, the belief that everything is made to be consumed and paid for is idiotic, especially in the world of software. Software can still be had for free, even if it is proprietary software. They call this piracy, yet no amount of DRM works and people still pay for things. I suspect that if everything was free software, your average guy would still pay for the software and the support, while large corporations would have to hire someone to maintain their stuff anyways. Software that is meant to be free should be extended to everyone, including the people who can't pay. I thought the point of markets was to meet human need, not the other way around.

It was just a joke, but living in your mom's basement is still pretty crap, at least in the west.
That being said, I hope these 40 year old gamers aren't still living in their's mother's basement. Seriously.

You don't just hope that the mission is just, you research the facts. So far, the war in the middle east is far from anything approaching just.

That may be, but that doesn't change the fact that they are second class citizens in Israel.
Ah, I didn't know those existed. Should have RTFA.

I guess we should also deregulate food and drugs. You can take care of yourself, right?
Their network runs on public land. They are also granted exclusivity by local governments. I think that regulation is in order.
Then again, anyone who fights the US military is now a terrorist right?

Well, it is the American South.
That may be, but they are trying to reform the law, not break it. Or should that be a crime too?
He's altered the deal. Hope he does not alter it any further.
Well, they do try to "convert" non-apple users. Plus you could see people dressed in a black turtleneck and jeans drinking Koolaid with Steve.

That's your choice, but I don't think that the FSF will close source on you.
