How about a custom shirt with your user name and your choice of Friend/Foe and Fan/Freak icons? I would love one with Foe and Freak, to scare the other geeks away.
Of course Microsoft supports the weaker bill. They are a spammer (sorry, "opt-in email marketer") themselves. Not as dirty as the others, but by no means clean.
If it means fewer "powerlines cause cancer" lauwsuits brought by gold-digging ambulance-chasers and supported by "experts" paid off by said sharks, that's fine by me.
Scroling through messages in the inbox. I don't use preview pane, but I often want to skip to (beginning - next new - end) and there don't seem to be any keyboard shortcuts for it. In Outlook Express 4.5 for OS 9 (the last good version), Cmd-Up took you to the beginning, Cmd-Down to the end.
The other thing I hate is the constant mailbox cleaning-up that halts all other work in Mail. OK, I have around 4000 messages in my inbox, but any mail program built since 1998 should be designed for that number of messages.
* Mail.app has been made a little bit prettier, and a little bit more functional.
Less slow? Mail is the thing I hate most about OS X on my old PB G3 Bronze (yes, I know, OLD) because it's so damn slow. Also because it doesn't respond to normal keyboard behavior (e.g. Home, Cmd-Up, ????). Fix that and I'll be happy.
BTW: The new Mozilla 1.4 is almost as fast as Safari, and more functional.
When I think of "TV Brick" it's usually in a different context. (replace hammer with brick) Generally after watching yet another Laci Peterson segment on CNN.
There have been good comments over the last several days containing new information and perspectives on the SCO case. This is not one of them. This is expro trying to stay at +5 and Slashdot moderators resurrecting his comment again a number of days after very similar comments. In terms of SCO comments, this is very tired and old.
There was a big Metric Conversion initiative in the 1970s. I remember "Think Metric" 16mm movies in elementary school, and dual miles/km signs on highways built in those days. A few of those are still around.
Canada of course converted successfully (well, mostly) at the same time.
Last time I checked, this referred to "Postes Telegraphs Telephones," the old name for the French postal service and phone company (now La Poste and France Telecom). It's come into common usage in the telecom industry meaning a state-owned telecom provider. I suspect La Poste and France Telecom might have something to say about this proposed trademark, since Nextel is in their business.
Buses are MUCH more efficient than carpools. Well-designed bus rapid transit systems can move as many people as the rest of the highway. The key is to not allow the buses to be slowed down for any reason - so the rules for other vehicles have to be very strict.
The nice thing about charging a HIGH fee for use of the lane is that not many drivers will use it. (Sort of like the Congestion Charging system in London - bus service is much, much more reliable, and faster, since it started.) That it generates a few bucks to pay for the buses, and gets the money from those most willing to pay, is only a plus from my point of view.
That's the point! They're looking for willingness to pay here. There is really only a small number of permits they could sell before the HOV lane gets full and it becomes useless.
In a time of tight budgets, I for one am all for milking those solo SUV SOBs for all they're worth. (Particularly because I bike to work, hah.)
The law is public domain. Use the correct term, desire for buzzword compliance notwithstanding.
That was my reaction too. Holy living fuck
so what else is new? I wear my "Troll" mods with pride.
I knew JSP was slow, but that's ridiculous.
I didn't say it was a bad thing.
A lot of things you wouldn't expect are legal in Holland.

they should name it Linux Open Source Exchange Replacement

I for one like having my browser decrypt Content Scramble System encoded DVDs.
AOL ad sales reps?

Do what I did - upgrade your humo[u]r to Region-Free!

So easy to use, no wonder it's #1!
I swear, this is still more proof that *BSD is dying.

More informative than this review, or this book! (oops, I mean "value-added.")
indeed!
