Safari for me is only a tiny bit faster than Moz 1.4 on my G3 Bronze Powerbook, and the difference hardly matters compared to the molasses-in-winter Mail.app. Moz 1.4 is substantially faster than 1.3 and previous.
You didn't really submit an editable page to slashdot, did you?! Whoo boy, if I were the editor of that one, I'd password protect it real quick. (Unless you want to get the new contact info of Mr. Goa Tse.)
Companies making their corporate standard browser a free browser and getting a tax write-off by supporting the browser will be prevalent, I think.
Not as prevalent as companies simply using Mozilla and paying zero, however.
Moz better than Safari at the moment

I use both and prefer Mozilla (better features). Safari is ooh-pretty, but Mozilla gives me better control over things, particularly via the PrefBar that one can download at XulPlanet. I love the new "Kill Flash" button.
No doubt. I'm still on Office 97 at work and 98 at home, no problems whatsoever (except that 98 Mac is slow in Classic mode, but the OpenOffice solution - X11 - sounds like a massive pain). If someone inb the office bought a license for Office XP, I sure haven't bothered to take advantage of it.
I just heard some sad news on talk radio - Sci Fi writer Philip K. Dick was found dead in his Berkeley home. There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Slashdot community will miss him - even if you didn't enjoy his work, there's no denying his contributions to popular culture. Truly an American icon.
As I recall Muskol is pretty damn close to 100% DEET. That strength may not be sold in the US anymore - but I'm pretty sure they still sell it that strong in Canada. (Serious mosquitoes up there.)
the only thing that differentiates this 'game console' from a standard, Windows-running PC is that it has no way to get data on or off of it except through a dedicated connection to Infinium Labs' own servers.
Actually the Amazon reviewer is also D Bruce Curtis from AICS,Phoenix,Az-USA. So I think the same guy submitted it to both Amazon and slashdot. Not quite the same as a pure troll (if it's a real troll, where's the goatse redirect?).

(Of course AOL Time Warner is also the author of Winamp and the original author of Gnutella ... hahaha)

Do you go after violators?
Popup Prism Blocker!
More pageviews for slashdot?
it's a riff on Der Ring des Nibelungen by Richard Wagner. The four parts are Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried, and Götterdammerung.
But slashdot will post 2-3 stories about it anyway.
This is what happens when he's happy to see you!
I for one can't wait for the Götterdammerung that will result from this one.

Use full strength Muskol and you'll be bite-free! (A great Canadian invention.)
I won't. Sounds like crap to me.
Yet.
Is that like the river of blood that is like the red ink flowing from Wind River and the other *BSD developers?
SomaFM is the bomb.

(not often do we see dupe book reviews .. then again, I suppose it's fine to have multiple opinions on the subject.)
Also, note that this is identical to a review (third one down, by the same guy it seems) on amazon. So it's a double-dupe!
I stopped wondering that years ago. Slashdot in general, and the YRO section in particular, is one big trollfest. Enjoy!
Maybe they're riffing on the classic look of Suck, the dear departed daily?
