Well, to quote the site and the poster of the article, it has no I/O at all. Gee, a server no one can store information in, and no one can get information out of, get yours now! Obviously it has I/O in the form of Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi, and what a cool idea it is, as if it's a natural extension of your brain as storage. Imagine going to a job interview and just showing up, sitting down, and have your resume show up on the interviewer's computer. I'm sure the folks at the RIAA will be cringing with horror tomorrow morning. With a sane security system, maybe you can have publically accessible folders, and personal folders, and imagine being able to get MP3s just by walking around the office/campus.
It won't kill the PDA, but if will probably transform it to just an information viewing device.
That sucks.:) Better find the Outlook.pst file (%HOME%\Application Data\Microsoft something something), which has all the data Outlook shows. Rename that file temporarily, start Outlook (it'll probably create a blank PST file), turn off the Preview Pane/AutoPreview, close Outlook and replace the new PST file with a copy of the original one. Hopefully you can then start Outlook with the Preview Pane turned off. Of course, this may not work when Outlook stores the Preview Pane settings inside the PST file itself. When that's the case, you can always go back to the previous method, but don't close Outlook and instead try to open the old PST file (Right click on "Outlook Today - [Personal Folders]" on the Folders List and choose "Open Outlook Data File...").
Hey why am I bothering, you are AC and probably won't see this anyway.
Is it really the responsibility of anti-virus makers to shield MS's bad programming with a it's-getting-bloatier-all-the-time syntax checker? I mean, it's good for Norton/McAfee that they can live out of MS's dumbness and user ignorance ("I run Norton, and no virus in the world, even the one that just came out today can affect me. A virus definition file, what's that?"), but heck, if you think Norton/McAfee should check everything that is to be sent to the browser, they'll pretty soon have a program as complex as the OS itself, just to check data. I think it's an OS maker's responsibility to build a whole OS, not let Norton/McAfee take care of the other half.
Tested it with Opera 6.05 (on Win2K, this shouldn't matter though), and it crashed. I'm still using Opera 6, because Opera 7 seems to suffer the same bloat Winamp 3.0 has.. "ooo spiffy XML-modifiable GUI". Cool, but it's damn slow.
Shouldn't that be, "YOU drop helicopters!"? Or "Sugar cubes drop helicopters!"? Because here in the non Soviet Russian world, the helicopter is already doing the dropping...
Do you think those ranks and ranks of boxes at Google at also used by the receptionist at the same time?
Hey, why not, to get a bit of extra performance. Then again that extra wouldn't be so great to justify the cost of implementing a distributed client for nodes that are relatively unstable ("Dang, must reboot again!").
How strange, a theme that is really being discussed in the real world instead of in the realm of "A Brave New World or Gattaca. The science fiction of yesterday is today's (tomorrow's?) real world.
Bin Laden should come with a new video clip (hey his videos probably get more airtime than some clips in MTV), and say September 11 was his "Shock and Awe" move. (Although is he really behind it, or is that just the US propaganda?) I bet that would stop anybody else from using it.
Does this post exist, does the website that host this server exist, does the computer you're reading this on exist, does the world exist or is it all just what you perceive to be reality, and I, the writer of this post doesn't really exist either? I feel I exist, and now I think I've made you question your existence although you probably only exist in my imagination..
aaahhh... I remember getting a lot of the 640 KB memory free after putting in DOS=HIGH,UMB in CONFIG.SYS.. man that was fun.. and after so much work to free memory, did we do something useful? Nope.
I suppose you liked the Russian assasin list provided to iraq for ease of whacking western ppls ???
Sheesh, isn't that "You're not with us, therefore you are against us" mentality? Just because I don't like Bush, doesn't mean I love Saddam.
Good grief, we are cooperating with pakistan and they ARE a hotbed of Islamic extremism.
The president of pakistan just happens to know that 9-11 pissed us off enough to collect a blood debt.
Also being that close to Afghanistan gave them a birds eye view of how it went down.
Errm, and your point is...?
You can whine and moan and vote the Sore-Loserman ticket in 2004, and I wish you the best of luck.
Well I wish I could, I doubt my vote would count anyway, but considering I'm not an USian (Thank the deities I'm not!) I can't vote in US elections.
That's right, I'm a foreigner, so you can stop reading now, my opinions don't count, you can just bomb me.:)
Bonus: I live in Germany.:):) Boy if that's not more reason to bomb me I don't know what is.
And I don't think I'd be spending time in any Gulags real soon now, but had I been living in USA, I'm sure I'd already be in one ("You've won a free trip with accomodation, in Guantanamo Bay!!!" -- I'm not sure how good the surf down there is, though), considering the government doesn't like free speech that criticizes its actions, and that I come from the world's largest Muslim nation.
No, I'm not a Muslim so that's no bonus for you.
Fuck you and the moronic president you're supporting. Bush doesn't represent what USA stands for, and his actions are alienating USA from the rest of the world. You're just as bad as Saddam supporters who believe Iraq (their version of Iraq) will someday rule the world and that anyone who disagrees with them is wrong! The only difference is the USA has enough bombs to accomplish Iraq's goal. So let's roll and bomb the world already!
Well, don't worry too much, Bush will bomb those countries and make them colonies of the USA so that the money does flow back into his pockets, errm I mean the pockets of USA, USA!
India better watch out, so much brain power is a violation of the DMCA!!! They're not feeding their children Ritalin? What an abuse of human rights!!! Kids shouldn't suffer from the need to use their brains!!! And they have nukes! No one is allowed to have nukes except Dubya!!!

Cancel-post! Just tried it again, and this time Opera 6.05 didn't crash.. the earlier crash was probably caused by something else. Yay Opera!
Tested it with Opera 6.05 (on Win2K, this shouldn't matter though), and it crashed. I'm still using Opera 6, because Opera 7 seems to suffer the same bloat Winamp 3.0 has.. "ooo spiffy XML-modifiable GUI". Cool, but it's damn slow.
... I mean, really it's just not feasable ... :)
Didn't you mean "feaceble"?
Gee, typing "g bofh" in Opera's address bar got me the correct answer straight off.
what else...
Shouldn't that be, "YOU drop helicopters!"? Or "Sugar cubes drop helicopters!"? Because here in the non Soviet Russian world, the helicopter is already doing the dropping...
Agreed!! Lucas has to resort to bringing back old characters and hyping about it so that more people will want to watch the thing.
A shark? I reckon a comparison between a koala and a crocodile would be better. Heh, you know, with the Crocodile Dundee tie-ins..
G'day Mate!

Just one CD-Burner, or a fast one that counts as many? :)
We really need to make a shirt with those words on it.
Yeah, isn't it funny, USA is supposed to represent freedom of speech and democracy. Last time I checked democracy allowed differing opinions!
Well, MHz's aren't everything are they. Maybe they should start putting BogoMIPS ratings on their ads.. ;)
Yes, and those rings really give eternal life.

And all Arabs are terrorists, huh Mr. AC?
;)
Well all Americans are fat, money-hungry, loud, uncultured, ignorant pigs.
