Anybody else bothered by the fact that the guy who interviewed Alfred didn't have a basic understanding of the difference between bitrate and resolution in regards to the what Alfred said about the quality of video data that cable companies provide as of now and that he had to explain compression to him?

There's only one major 'real' newspaper in Columbus, Ohio. The Columbus Dispatch has most people finish reading it disagreeing with half of what they read and vice versa. We get to support the dwindling presence of journalism in this country. This paper also has the rare quality of not being owned by a national corporation and reports on metro and state affairs from a local point of view. Considering that there are many bloggers and web 'journalists' that try very hard to do a good job and live up to journalistic standards, most of them don't have the credentials to participate in the process the way that credentialed members of journalism can. Until that time, we buy the paper, read it and are at least aware of what is happening around us even if we don't like the reporting on it./don't watch local news though, cuz it's not journalism
Is not a good thing. We are supposed to branch out and see different perspectives and have new experiences. We don't need any help in finding the things we know we are interested in and know a lot about. We need help in finding information that we are totally unaware of.
If you acknowledge that as having any kind of truth, then you have to acknowledge that it also states that those were specially blessed unions.
If you don't acknowledge the supernatural tilt, then the scientific view is that being the earliest humans, they had a higly complex and diverse genetic code that allowed for the extremely low risk of common gene train wrecks happening in utero.(something like that)
My wife and I both bought and love it, she has Win8 device now, I have a Win7 device that has a custom ROM from XDA Devs. If you want all the distractoapps, it's not the phone for you. But, if you want a fast simple(contradiction?)smartphone, it is fun to own.
Identity for one. I could identify as black or as a woman, but I would look and sound pretty silly doing so with pale skin and the wrong organs. It's my right to say that I am a black woman. Nobody else is going to agree with me that I am though.
No human has the same rights as any other human, much like no human has the same permissions allocated to them, that doesn't mean that either person or user is of lesser or greater worth.
