Ayup. AMD chips are flakey pieces of shit. The common excuse of the AMD apologisers is to blame the motherboards that are commonly used with AMD chips. Sad, sad world we live in where supposedly intelligent people believe that 'cheaper' is functionally equivelant to 'better'.
Am I the only one that thinks that the Open Source Database Summit has the worst ad, ever? That guy is fucking nasty looking. And what's this bullshit about next-gen techniques (or whatever the fuck it said), as if open source would ever lead fuck all.
No, that guy probably isn't, but if getting your facts wrong is a qualifier, then you'd better run off and apply for your tard card. $40/meg is no lie. I remember paying $160 for 4 megs back in 1995.
Nope. Internet Explorer 6 beta, when it crashes on that particular problem, doesn't pop up the lovely 'submit this bug' window, so I can't be bothered to submit it.
Me too! God damn is that annoying. It only seems to happen when I accidentally start loading a new page and then hit 'back' quickly. A threading problem, perhaps?
I forgot to mention, that you need to add a protective case - but hey, it's still a third the cost, and you can drop it onto concrete from 6 feet and nothing will break.
Actually, it was a sticker that said 'Best with Windows 98/NT' or some such. It came off of it's own volition, leaving behind a laptop that probably puts that piece of shite Apple to shame for ruggedness, speed, and portability. You can only wish you had a Thinkpad 240x.
No, actually, it *would* have been funny if the link wasn't busted. What the hell is wrong with people on Slashdot, weren't you ever around when everyone did 'a href' by hand? It isn't hard to get right, you know.
No, C++ isn't an object oriented language because of the phrases '#include' and 'static compilation.' (which strips away any hope of OO during name mangling and creates one big.obj (note;not.object) glob) You should look them up.
None; all motherboards used with AMD chips are equally flakey pieces of shit. Sad but true.
And no, tough guy in the back, I'm not a lobbyist, so don't waste my time with a flippant response designed to uncover the 'Intel conspiracy'.
Ahahaha. You know what's really funny? That you wasted your time writing that lame piece of crap.

geez, i've seen that a bajillion times. Not impressive. And yes, there goes my Karma, but I like to see responses to my comments.
You sir, do an excellent job of supporting his argument. People are people, and sysadmins are janitors with delusions of power.
Damn, you (and Microsoft) just gave me a hardon. That's a *great* idea.
Wow, you've got a lot of great points, but you're one hell of a prick. I hope you rot doing the same job for the rest of your life.

Very good! Now you know why people believe in God.
Thw path is grey! Now shut up.
I thought it was called Pirates of Silicon Valley
Are you fucking retarded?

does shit like this get on the front page?
Who cares? Nullsoft is the worst $70 million anyone ever spent.
Well, speaking as a Canadian, I'd much rather hear a Canadian accent than an American one. Y'all come back now, y'ear?
Excuse me, but I was wondering. How much did Dreamworks pay for this advertisement?
No, actually, it *would* have been funny if the link wasn't busted. What the hell is wrong with people on Slashdot, weren't you ever around when everyone did 'a href' by hand? It isn't hard to get right, you know.
I wasn't aware that comics were distributed as MP3 files, thanks for the info.
I asked you before, but you never answered, so I'll ask again. How much is Dreamworks paying you to advertise your site here under the name 'AI'?
Yes, him and Andreesen must be good pals. One steals Emacs, the other steals Mosaic.
