Very true, but I think most would agree that if a Linux/BSD user HAD to switch, there'd be a 90% chance that they'd rather go to a Mac, than an Windows box.
...I'm laughing so hard. He spends two paragraphs being mad at his Palm m515 (Software that was not written by Apple) so it MUST be Apple's fault.
I wonder if he is being paid by Microsoft as part of the new "UnSwitcher" campaign? I'd say he should take the fork he was going to stick in Apple, and...well...you get the idea.
In all actuality, I'm curious as to what Apple's market share is now? I don;t know that it has ever been as low as 3%. More like 5%. But I'd venture a guess that with OSX converting Linux users left and right that it'd be around 6-8% by now. Thoughts?
Actually, we used to modify one of these for golf balls and shoot them from Tremont towards Jacobs Field on game days. I don't think they ever got that far though...
Are you kidding? I'd be all over an iBook if it had a G4 in it, and this lets me add a SuperDrive! that 17" is cool, but I don't feel like lugging something that large around with me everywhere. I've got a Ti-book now, and love it, but I'll be ordering that 12" PowerBook as soon as the put the iluminated keyboard in it.
If I were Apple, I'd do the same thing. Apple is doing too well right now to gamble on something as trivial as "One Click Shopping".
Scary Thought: Buying a $5,000 computer with one click.
When I was in High-School, I pulled this kind of thing all the time. The only difference was that the people that I was venting about were as "Internet Ignorant" as the rest of the world at that time. If I posted a rant on a BBS somewhere, the only people to see it were people in my shoes. It was kinda like a secret club.
It's bad enough that the kids are getting harrassed worse than ever, but now the only safe place to vent is quickly becoming more policed than the schools that they are trying to escape from.
If I were in school nowadays, I'd probibly be watching my back at school AND home. God forbid one of these kids "looses it" in school.

Other examples of the same ultimatum...
Ultimatum to my neighbor:
Start using my lawnmower to mow your lawn, or else I'm going to stop mowing mine all together...
or..
Ultimatum to my mail man:
You need to use MY shoes to walk up to my house to deliver mail or I'm going to have it delivered somewhere else.
Ultimatum to wife:
(Yeah, like anything I write here would ever fly)
