In TNG they had pad that were pretty damn similar and in Andromeda they used some sort of plastic sheet tablet computer that make the iPad look pretty damn fat. Come to think of it Stargate Atlantis also had tablet computer.
I say the US is a loony bin country but those stories have a way of always coming from Texas or Florida so maybe you just packed all your village idiots in a few states.

Have you seen how much Amazon want for an EC2 instance it not exactly cheap. But I could see somebody using cloud servers to host controlling nodes in a big zombie network. You know as a way to isolate yourself and as a quick and dirty way to move over your products to buyers.

With Google prioritizing their own phone dev could that push other hardware maker like Samsung to go after another open source mobile OS like Meego to differentiate themselves.
Off course they are happy all of a sudden somebody bought an hardware maker not unlike all of them for more than it was believed to be worth and probably making their own stocks rise. The added bonus is that Google might well be creating an Android patent pool for them to join up in the near future.
Actually we are not that far from this. If am looking up and address on Google maps my Iconia a500 will know about it provided that when am doing that lookup am logged in the same Google account that I use on my Iconia.
I think most Muslim would understand the use as an expression of respect for a place. Off course like every religion the fanatic are the loudest voice.
And this is where I don't get the Game industry approach if I sell my old games it likely the money made by selling them will go to a new game! Unless am broke money that I spend in my gaming budget will stay in my gaming budget if I get a return. The car industry understand that very well one thing they advertise is the resale value it also ranked in the blue book.

Linux and wine have come a long way in the past few years sometimes I swear wine run some Windows application better than Windows does.
