Yeah! What kind of arse backwards country is that eh?! Not even progressive enough to legalize traumatizing another human being! All these comments from idiots who think this guys punishment is unjustified makes me happy I live in a socialist country with anti-hate and anti-harassment laws, no wonder Americans are so fucked in the head.
Yeah, because images work awesome when moving between hardware, especially from 3 year old hardware, and I wont get into OS differences. Profile redirection and network storage is the key, along with a setup script that handles office and all the other standard crap your org needs. At least that's how we do it, a new laptop is as easy as join the domain and reboot, tomorrow we hand it to the user after the GPO and scripts do their thing.
Im of the opinion that when a new president is elected, before he is sworn in, he is told exactly what he is going to do for the next 4 years by a small cadre of uber-rich the likes of JP Morgan etc. It is then implied that the last president that didn't do what they said was JFK.
I have absolutely nothing to base this on, other that it sure seems to be the way it works, and would explain why a 'new' president never follows through with election promises.
Ahh, you're right, I thought the EIB was into the trillions, but they only pulled off about 800 billion. However, looking at old news storys they seem to value the 800 billion around 170,000 USD mark, has the ISK to USD market got way down in the last few years, or was that just a sensationalist claim?
Fooling warden is no more difficult than getting a child to buy into a slight of hand coin behind the ear trick, or pulling your thumb off trick. I personally ran a glider bot with some movment hacks from level 1-85, did 0 quests, and was only banned when reported by another user(myself, it was acedemic)
So yeah, always online doesnt prevent cheating, it never has.
This is exactaly how its going to work, this is NOT an always online DRM, this is a WoW Style Server/Client game, There will be no pirate version, no more than there is a pirate version of WoW, and yes the EMU Servers are garbage, show me one that is an exact replica of a blizzard server. There was one that got close, and they got lawyer bombed into oblivion.
The problem, is that is you read into what exactally blizzard is doing, its NOT just always on DRM, its a server/client style of game with no offline component. The drops, mob spawns, charecter storage, etc, is all done server side, even in the 'single player'. So no, a server emulator will not be quickly forthcoming. And when it does arrive, it will be on par with the WoW server emulators(crap).
The problem ive seen, with alot of these 'what if' scenarios, is that an 18 year old, (or a 40 for that matter) having sex with another person past puberty, it not pedophilia. To be a pedophile, you have to be sexually attracted to prepubescent children, which is actually a rare condition. Sexual attraction to kids during the onset of puberty is Hebephilia, around the 11 to 14 mark is a little more common, while Ephebophilia the attraction to mid to late adolecents(15-19) has been in and out of social acceptance for many cultures.
My point? each of those conditions can have different causes and treatments, and should not be lumped together.
Speaking of the chain of evidence, wouldnt it be fairly easy to make a drive encryption program, that can only decrypt when the drive is in read/write mode? This would make any evidence collected from it unsubmissable?
This is true, but banning all pet ownership is not the answer, its like banning owning all knives, of any kind because some insane moron stabbed his friend in the neck with a butter knife.
The knife isnt the problem. It was the phsyco with it in his hand.
Owning pets isnt the problem, its the bat shit crazy asshole who beats his pet, or the greedy bastard who churns out litter after inbred litter until it kills the bitch.
Stiff regulations and actual enforcment of those regs are the answer, should beating a dog to death or abusing one be the same as a human? No, and the PETA crowd can fuck off on the subject, but on the othetr side of the coin, that act shouldnt be punishable by a fucking fine. You should do a few years of hard time if you willfully cause the torment of another life form.
I pay 54$ per month, for my entire family, and that's only because we have a combined income over the poverty line, as you move towards the line, the monthly costs moves to 0.
I pay 0 for hospital, clinic and dr visits, with no yearly cap. Ambulance ride are 75$ a pop if needed, and hospital beds do come with a charge, but they're less than a local motel, around 40$ per night. I truly feel sorry for you Americans if what you described you consider a 'good deal' the rest of the world call it a rip off:(
I hope these guys are as good as they claim to be, otherwise we will be seeing their faces with the caption "Further arrests from anonymous hacking group"
Except I can be talking to a human, at my bank in 30 seconds via telephone, and if it is a misunderstanding, such as with minecraft. It would be cleared up in minutes. This is possible because of the regulations banks have to deal with, you're not allowed (at least in my country, not USA) as a bank, to deprive someone of their money without just cause.
Do some searching, theres people who have trusted paypal with the payment methods of their legal, business licensed small businesses, and then have been literally bankrupted after paypal froze 10's of thousands of dollars for months while these peoples homes went into foreclosure. this type of thing doesn't happen with banks (they get you to go bankrupt in other ways, another topic, and you generally have to be stupid with credit)
And this is why Amex is considered to be in the same league as a Discover card. At least outside America, hell, up here in Canada we take discover more than Amex.
Im quite happy you peg my mentality at 20, the young at heart thing is working out, im well into my thirtys. But you hit the nail on the head as to the whys, I dont pirate anymore because its not worth it. I have a good job, and quite frankly dont need the hassle of dealing with copyright violations. On top of that, Steam and Impulse generally have better D/L speeds than torrents.I think you missed the first sentence when i said "When I was a pirate"
And yes, I hit the tail end of BBS's, I was 11 with a 14.4 modem. So yeah, all they were to me was Warez, tradewars and the pit. You can paypal me the 20$;)
Its definitely supported by me. When I was a pirate, no amount of DRM would stop me, if it did, which was once, an obscure game that was never cracked. I didn't go out and but it because I couldn't pirate it, they didn't create a sale with their DRM. Is my experience anecdotal? Sure, but I KNOW its mirrored in all my friends, some of whom still are pirates, and if they were suddenly denied the ability to pirate, I know for a FACT they would not go out and buy media.
I know this because they pirate for the same reason I used to. Money. They dont have it, stop them from pirating all you want, it wont generate any sales.
So yes, companies are wasting money on DRM development. Maybe not in 100% of cases, but in literally every case of piracy Ive personally experienced (which started on pirate BBS before the net took hold) would never have equaled a lost sale.
Except your federal laws, which trump state laws, say otherwise.
You 'mericans need to do an armed revolt already and fix your country.
This contract is 100% unenforceable in my country.

Didn't the last 'big' scam in EVE go well past the 100,000 USD mark? This is not the biggest...

RTFA, the IP was a static, used for a very long time by the company in question.

Lets just ban something that should have very strict regulations in place, its way cheaper and worked for prohibition and the sex trade right?!
if hes facing death due to the illness, getting raped in order to live is something to think about..
Thats a horrible system..
:(
150 AND you have a deductible?!

Can we use mod points to try and get an article off the first page? please? LulzSec stuff should never hit front page on principle.

Until PayPal is regulated under the same accountability as a bank, Ill never use them in cyber, or meat space.
A bank cant just freeze your account for no reason, paypal can.

Google.com
It does apply to most though, its worse in the GVRD, 60/ month, 3G Speeds, 2GB/Month Limit.
