Thousands of American cities and towns have never recovered from the mass exporting of jobs- autoworkers, fabric mills, shoes and garments, lumber and steel, etc etc. And now white-collar workers are getting it in the rear.

Yeah, this is like so good for the country. Christ, what kind of delusion does this guy live in? They better get those Chinese markets opened up, because Americans are going to be too poor to buy anything.

What Deputy Dawg and his gang of bullies did was prove once again why we need the Bill of Rights, and more police oversight. Those three morons escalated what should have been a legitimate investigation into a pointless, needless confrontation. Idiots like that should not be cops.

    Absolutely right. Groklaw is fantastic.

The part I get depressed over- Groklaw is unique because PJ does actual research and fact-based analysis. Sure, we expect ZDNet to print uninformed, baseless opinions, but all these other "real" news and financial media- Forbes, Washington Post, NY Times, etc etc, publish shallow, 'he said she said' garbage. 'This one says I didn't do it, the other says did to.' What crap. Why even bother? In the SCO deal, Forbes reached a new low with Daniel Lyons. There's a guy whose allergy to facts is epic. Read the actual court papers? Research the issues? Nahhh, that would be wrong.

He makes fun of himself, and his profession- but he's good. I'd rather watch him than, say, Harrison Ford or Clint Eastwood, who have turned into wooden, whispering mockeries of themselves. Or Brad Pitt, who might be a good actor, but I can't get past how much he looks like Curious George.

Who makes VeriSign do the job competently and honestly? (OK, sorry, I know it's completely ridiculous.)

The best first step to securing DNS is to eliminate all traces of BIND. Start with something that is fast, secure, and works right- like djbdns. Start with something that is not a bloated, buggy, insecure mess. Then look at how to authenticate DNS. Start with garbage, you still get garbage.
