Although it's rarely about that when the Bible says God judged a nation. I've come to the conclusion that the story of Sodom and Gomorrah is one of the most misunderstood scripture references. People get caught up in the fact that it was men the town wanted to have sex with, and somehow overlook the fact that they weren't willing to take no for an answer. It was less about them all being gay rather than the entire town wanting to gang rape a couple of strangers.
And then we have verses like this that suggest that the tea partying Christian Right would be more at fault than the entire gay community if God himself were to come down today and start smiting:
Ezekiel 16:49 English Standard Version (ESV)
49 Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy.
I don't know why you put smartphone in quotes. My current smartphone cost me $150 USD for an octo core CPU and 3 GB ram/ dual SIMs etc. That's deep into the smartphone category and just as capable as a far more expensive phone.
Some of it was indeed crappy and a lot of that was agreed to buy people who haven't worked here in years, and some of it is being replaced but that's a multi year project. Life is complicated when you work for a multinational that is a spinoff from another multinational. That's on top of the hardware(IP KVM, network equipment, EMC SAN) using Java clients that don't run at all under the updated Java security settings and we have had to keep Windows 2003 in a VM to deal with some of it.
Also, one of our problems was the Cisco VPN client (we had to upgrade and buy new licenses) and no one ever got fired for buying Cisco.
Somewhat true. But ordering with Windows 7 in the first place guarantees that there are Windows 7 drivers for all hardware and I don't have the same assurances if I buy Windows 10 and attempt a downgrade..
Doubtful, The parent company of the place I work demands all PCs worldwide to be Windows 7 only and they aren't the only corporation that has this policy. We still have software that doesn't run on windows 8/10 so this news is a shafting for us. More likely MS is embarrassed by the consumer dislike of windows 10.
MS is famous for putting internal politics ahead of business logic.
This won't fix the problem. I have this problem now where my employer expects to on every other weekend be "available for on call" where I get paid per hour worked where someone calls me.
The downside of this is that I have to be
A: Somewhere I have cell phone reception.
B: Within 30 mins of a computer I can VPN to the office with at any given time.
Those two restrictions mean that I must restrict my movements during on call hours so I don't feel like it's actually time off but most of the time I am not compensated for that. It is an ongoing point of disagreement with my employer.
On something as complicated as an OS, there will be bugs that are workload or hardware dependent and won't show up until the wider pool of people start testing it and that, as it turns out, is when RC1 gets released. .
It's a Goo Bang Doo Abox running Android 6.0.1 and Runs Kodi. I just ran a few mins of tests and so far for video formats: ASF,WMV,MPG,MOV and my usual MKV. So far the only thing I don't have working is H265 (HVEC). For audio formats I've used MP3, WAV and FLAC.
A few points:
1. My new TV box puts itself to sleep when I'm not using it (It detects via the HDMI channel when the TV turns off and sleeps).
2. It has no moving parts to break and my last one lasted two years and is still going strong (gave it away).
3. The whole thing total cost me CDN $49.99 so I don't get your replacement parts cost at all.
They don't know that it came from the Tor network. They only know that a request for CP came from that IP. After that, they provide the internet provider with a warrant asking who owns that IP and raid the place to see what's there.
A lot of countries are cracking down on burner phones. I don't know the regulations where I'm at now (Canada) but I know in Spain, I could not purchase a SIM card without showing my passport.
The only way to do power saving with modern TV's is to use ARC, and ARC support is just not very widespread yet.
Two of the tree devices plugged in to my TV support ARC. Both my Chromecast and my Android box support it. Only my seldom used Blu Ray (I rip my blu rays and toss them on a fileshare for my android box to play) does not support it.
This is exactly it. I find when I negotiate with Chinese companies that they tend to be very accommodating and they try to give me whatever I ask for. If you want a feature, they will add it. In fact, I once had a DSLAM company add protection circuit (protect against DC polarity reversal to avoid fireworks) to their equipment just for me along with some software changes. The trouble happens when you tell them you want it cheap. They will cut every corner and give you the cheapest piece of trash you've ever seen..
Its the same with outsourcing: When you go cheap, you get all of the people who couldn't get jobs elsewhere.
It's a network effect. For each person who can't use Skype, all contacts to that person are forced to use an alternate client It's better for Microsoft to keep as many people on as many platforms as happy as possible.
The ISP I work for is running out of IPs and is looking at buying new IPv4 addresses on the open market. Google reports that 30% of all US traffic to their servers and 13% worldwide use IPv6. We are already at the point where on mobile networks IPv6 offers a faster page load time thanks to their use of CGNAT on the IPv4 network and that will only get worse as more ISPs roll out CGNAT..
IPv6 is not hard to setup and given how many web hosting/cloud/VPS/Server providers who support IPv6 there is no excuse for building new sites on providers that only manage to support IPv4.
Apple would never have even considered this deal if Ireland had not been a part of the EU. The reason the EU has these rules is that once you are inside the Eurozone, there are restrictions on how much anyone but your home country can tax you and they have a right to be pissed that Apple redirected all of it's EU profits to Ireland and then payed almost no tax.
Not entirely, People here hate FOX because they tend to be mindless cheerleaders of anything right wing and have a questionabe relationship with the truth. I hate it even though I tend to be fiscally conservative, Personally I lost any of my last respect for them the day they hired Rachel Marsden who is famous in my province for having her swim coach fired for sexual harassment for turning down her advances. Unfortunately for her(and the university), it turned out he kept the voicemails she left on his answering machine. But that's FOX they don't care about accuracy, only controversy that generates views.
The headline is misleading. It's not actually built into SystemD it is an (optional) addon utility. It may be great or it could end up like the DHCP server her made that no one in their right mind uses.

And that's just the blatant stuff and excludes Breitbart.

We are well past that point. Right now I'm waiting to hear back about some applications.

Why would you do this with sleep instead of cron?

American blacks are an intensely anti-intellectual demographic versus Pakastanis.
Not just blacks. American culture in general.

The main difference is that the telecom company isn't helping hide the criminal's point of origin.

I think Challenger was still a bigger bang.

Actually 128k was dual channel ISDN. Single channel was 64k.
