    Yeah, that's exactly what email is for. Plus, it's not like it would be too hard to employ some people to work second shift to maintain contact with overseas clients.

    I like money whose value is chiefly determined by economic value and the demand for currency, rather than using some substance whose value is based only on scarcity. The value of my money should depend very little upon the global demand for jewelry and oxidation-proof headphone connectors.

    The crime was committed in the US, against US citizens. Why wouldn't the US have jurisdiction?

    His problem wasn't so much the private currency, but the fraud and money laundering. But hey, whatever. I like my money backed by the government. If you think fancy rocks that people can dig up are a better idea, you are nuts.

    Do they not have probation where you are? Where they let you out of jail early, but only if you agree to follow their rules? And if you do break those rules, it is akin to escaping from jail?

  13. Yeah, they did. That's what science does: it discovers new things and refines our understanding of things. Yes, the globe is warming. But that's not a very complete definition of the totality of effects. Climate change is a much more specific phrase. And, not for nothing, it avoids the dummies who confuse climate with weather.

    You may be right, but the technology might be useful elsewhere. Also, if they choose the right kind of actuator they might be able to reduce or eliminate the spring tension, which would make it easier. Also also, don't forget that the camshaft robs the engine of plenty of power on its own, so the electronically actuated ones don't have as far to go as we might think.

    The biggest turbines can generate 7 megawatts. It would probably be ok.

    The corporate income tax should be zero. Get the taxes when the money flows into the investors. The corporate tax is a fraction of government revenue anyway.

    I don't think the current AT&T is the same as the former AT&T. The current one is a merger between Cingular and SBC I'm pretty sure.
