    ended up blocking anyone in China from accessing sites on my server. After seeing a lot of attacks from Seychelles (SC), blocked that country as well. A lot less spam and attacks.

    there is no SLAPP law currently on the books in either Canadian law or Ontario law.

    But the publisher needs to be careful. If they loose, they have to pay the legal fees of the blog owner and the university.

    The simple defence is to show the comments are true. Doesn't seem to be to hard.

    I was having the problem with crtl c and v. A Logitech G110 has 12 programmable keys on the left side. I use the bottom 2 for copying and pasting which I use a lot in adding products to a website.

    I took a quick look at gnucash and couldn't find anything on payroll. Accountant's copy was not found either.

    As for the restaurant itself, you may have a touch time finding Point of Sale (POS) software.

    Quickbooks is good, but you may also want to consider Simply Accounting. For some, the multiple currency is great (extra for Quickbooks). Some differences in pricing.

    I would be careful of online software. Gets expensive paying every month and you are at the mercy of the provider.

    Backup your data.

    As some have suggested, use software on the market and donate to open source.

    the signer of the document made a false statement. Located in Canada, she (Natale Waboose) can be charged with uttering a forged document, fraud, and interfering with a computer.(I am not looking up the sections of the Criminal Code or their correct name)

    Regardless of who owns the site (learning-together.ca), one can't gain access to an account and transfer on their own.

    Rackspace really blew it this time.

    The US government, under pressure from the entertainment industry is doing it. Companies like godaddy are making things worse.

    there is no phone number on the site. Support is only through live chat and a support ticket.

    A support ticket, for a volume discount, took a day to respond to.

    Not impressed and looking elsewhere.

    I am in the same position. I will transfer registration as it come due for payment. It doesn't make sense for cash flow to transfer them all at the same time. I am looking for a new registrar now. Hosting will follow shortly. This will take a while.

    I got a typical email response this morning in regards to my concerns. They replied:

    We value your opinion and understand that there are both proponents and opponents of the Stop Online Piracy Act. Go Daddy's official stance can be viewed at http://support.godaddy.com/godaddy/go-daddys-position-on-sopa/

    that page is now blank and just states the change.

    I know the publisher likes to sell at list price, but I can but the hard copy with free shipping for another $4 or so. And shipping to Canada from O'Reilly would be an additional $12.00. An ebook for 27.99? A little lower please.
