Yes, hitting after the whistle blows equates to a penalty, and sometimes, a fine. But these players are making millions. A 15k to 20 k fine for a late hit, really is not a big deal, even though no one really wants to admit it. I mean, after all, it was "just" an accident.

So what a game has sexual content in it? The player is already able to kill cops. So it's ok for the player to kill a law enforcement officer in the game, but just fucking the crap out of a would-be prostitute is right down demeaning? What I have seen, I think the sex act is actually between two consenting adults. In all 50 states, the last time I heard such an act was still legal between consenting heterosexuals.

  20. This is pure crap on AMD Alleges Intel Compilers Create Slower AMD Code · · Score: 1

AMD is complaining that Intel deliberately complain that Intel's compiler favors Intel's chips for code optimization. Well, the last time that I checked, Intel spend the money to make the compiler so they have every reason to optimize for Intel's chips.

A good example would be two neighbors in a suburban neighborhood. The two houses' front lawns have no true dividing lines. But clearly it is two yards. One owner isn't obligated to water the other person's yard. He paid for the water and he has the right to favor his lawn as much as he want and setup his lawn sprinklers to favor his side of the yard and not his neighbors.

If his neighbor wants to keep his lawn green, he better spend the money to water his lawn and not cry fowl when his neighbor's water sometimes touch es his yard.

If AMD wants to optimize their code execution, then they are more than welcome to release a comparable compiler that is optimized on AMD, but runs a bit slow on Intel. Remember, Intel isn't compiling code that doesn't run on AMD, they just only play favorites on their own chips.

How is that for public use? Those people they uprooted can't necessarily afford to use the office space or the hotel unless they have a means pay for the nightly stays or the monthly lease. If it was deemed for a public park, then that I can understand. Commercial interests? I think not. That's some crazy BS.
