MS used to buy macintoshes just to copy their features in early versions of Windows. Infact Bill Gates had the first mac prototypes before anyone of course with the knowledge of making Windows 1.0 like it.

So now MS after years of poor management and engineering finally decided to focus on making a good os rather than concentrate on Office is outdoing MacOSX. Or at least attempting too.

Good and so what? This is what companies do and its good for consumers. Hyundia imitiated Toyota for years and finally make cars that are more reliable than toyota cars. So now the other company is imitiating Hyundai by hiring better engineers. Its life.

So why bash Apple? I bet he never bashed Microsoft for copying macos and even incorporating quicktime code in Media player which ms admitted to doing a decade ago.

After all the news of companies like RIM extorting blackberry and shutting down their service and same with Apple music threatening to shutdown Itunes is an example of this new corporate culture. You can negotiate alot more money when you are blackmailed and pressure is involved. In the case with blackberry they gave RIM $500,000,000 for a product they never developed whose patent was ruled invalid. Amazing what we can learn from the mobfia.

Actually if I were in charge of this company I would be tempted to mandate this feature and screw whoever I could and raise the rates to exhorborant fees to renew the contracts. I would make a ton of money and its perfectly legal. I dont think I would ever sink to this low but it would certainly be on my mind if I were greedy enough.

For example the timing belt chain is made of rubber and the engine is setup in such a way that the cylinders will smash into each other and wreck the engine when it breaks. Its an interference engine.

Before MS used to jack up the price something obscene like %500 if you dared included just one pc without Windows with SCO or OS/2. The doj stopped this behavior but now its standard so ms does not have to worry about this anymore.

Today ms, can just use the ...last to recieve updates bit. Or if they really want to appear innocent they could simply let the OEM install Windows Vista when it came out but refused to give them early builds that hte other oem's enjoy. That way it would take weeks or months before their systems on the shelves had what their competitors had.
