    the flu kills plenty of people who are _apparently_ perfectly healthy.

    but we're digressing, the original theses i was objecting to was that somehow restricting immigration was going to help to save lives. and that is simply asinine.

    thats pretty much how ebola works too, poor hydration is what kills you. whatever caused inadequate hydration can be anything, from poor care to weakened organism.

    call it "ebola related death" if that tickles your fancy.

    sapphire also repels water a little better. that wouldn't do anything to overall water resistance, of course, but would make reading off the display easier. which might be a benefit to using in "sporty" sweaty situations.

    it was _per reporting_. reality is unknown as yet. it may be due to a known cause, both in how sapphire is manufactured or how its used.

    it may also be complete baloney. we just don't know.

    he was wrong on the main point he was making which is the source of value. he pushed the idea that its from robbing the worker. where as in reality its in the mutually beneficial exchange of goods and services on free market.

    all other points he was making were mostly moot. kinda why none of it worked out in practice. real world isn't a utopia.

    this is probably the biggest takeaway there.

    we can still fight for some degree of privacy. but any meaningful anonymity is not available to the average folk.

    there have been many pearl harbor level events, apple being nowhere near the worst offender. in fact one can easily argue that apple has done pretty well with respect to protecting user's privacy. and we don't strictly speaking know that this particular breach was caused by apple.
