Knoppix can run directly from RAM. Makes stuff go real fast. The command is 'knoppix toram'. Of course, you need enough RAM to hold a cd. I'd recommend about 1GB. See http://www.knoppix.net/docs/index.php/CheatCodes for cheat codes.

My wife had a friend growing up named Sarah * Daniels. No joke. Her middle name is actually the asterisk symbol. She wound up moving to California and is currently doing the actress thing. Last time I heard she was a regular extra in a TV show called "Son of the Beach."

You can find install CDs on SuSE's site. It's basically just a boot CD that runs a simple configuration utility and then downloads and installs everything. Once done you have a complete SuSE Linux system. I don't mind paying, but free beer just tastes better.

    Be kind. Use a mirror.

I appreciate the great detail of your comment about the Anthrax crap. But I'm skeptical of your report. No sources. Not even a simple google link.

What methods exist to appeal the EU decision? What happens if Microsoft refuses to comply? I'd imagine the EU would put greater restrictions on Microsoft up to not allowing their software to be sold in the European Union. That would be catastrophic! It would seriously hurt Microsoft. And because of the dominance of Windows it would likely cripple the EU. I find it pretty freakin' scary that one company can revoke all licenses for the vast majority of computers worldwide. I'm very glad to see justice done, but am concerned this could go horribly wrong.

There is also is the cost of the USB ethernet adapter requred for the Home Media Option. This costs around $30 bucks. I'm sure a wireless adapater costs more.

I'm now on my second TiVo (Series 2) in a month. The first TiVo died with a bad hard drive. When I replaced it, I bought Circut City's three year extended warrenty for something like $55. My total costs are up to about $835. Expensive, but well worth it! Last night I found that it recorded the X-Men trailer for me. Good stuff!

It has always intrested me in what people mean by winning. Winning to Steve Jobs means making the best GUI on the planet, but not holding 90% market share. Winning to Bill Gates means that he goes home with everthing. What does winning mean to the Mozilla team? Coming out with a 1.0 release?
