    That being the case, I have to seriously question the credibility of anybody suggesting WeChat in the context of basically anything.

    Why? He uses WeChat because people he wants to talk to, use WeChat. Why is that not a valid context to suggest WeChat. Use whatever your friends, family, people you want to talk to, use, is the best damn suggestion in this thread.

    Nope, I have an issue with people taking issue with linkedin, but not with gmail (when they both do the same thing).

    I agree that it is shitty practice, and they should be criticized for it.

    Of course they dont get any such thing from you. They still ask it, just like linkedin, and provide a skip option just like linkedin.

    Just like most sites, you would probably never die. You would just be marked as deleted, and the deleted flag will propogate to offline backups eventually.

    But I've continued to get endless emails from people wanting to connect.

    There is a link in those email you can use to stop those notifications. You get these emails even if you are not a member of linkedin, that is just linkedin being linkedin

    If your email provider is a public email provider (like gmail), they ask for your other email passwords so they can import contacts too, when you signup. I guess you have to stop using all public email providers, cos they all pull the same shit.

    Well, they dont need to be intelligent. As long as they can demonstrate the ability to use autopilot correctly (even in simulated crashes), they can be allowed to use autopilot in tesla.

    It is. Cars were a threat to jobs, when it was introduced and commoditized too. There were many attempts to outlaw it. It doesnt mean humanity is better off with cars, than without.

    Or you, know you can always become Amish and drive a horse pulled carriage. You would be free of those pesky job killing robots too.

    Yup, Nixon's platform had free education for all (not just for the ones making less than $125k, and only in state univs like the dems) and raising the minimum wage by more than $8, unlike the dems. Nixon was totally more progressive.

    Costco owner is technically the proprietor of a corner grocery store, it is just bigger. He is happy to have not stiffed his employees (I dont think he would happier as the third richest man, than he is now), and the employees are happy for it.

    Where exactly is GP doing that? Why does he not mention Amazon's margin, and compare with lets say Costco? Where are the facts and logic you are talking about?

    Why exactly is Amazon forced to keep unreasonably low margin and stiff its employees?

    Ok? The article, summary and the title is about granting amnesty to a group of people. But Snowden is guilty in the eyes of the law, just morally excusable (in the eyes of some), which is why he needs an amnesty.

    My hope is that the policy and next election cycle might be a little more inclined to try to capture my vote.

    And it never does, does it? It is simply taken as a support of that party and not a vote against the two major parties, and rightly so.
