Lets make it mandatory to implement id chips in our children so we can monitor their life cycle as well.
Knowing 'bout youngsters revolts against parent generations, I'm sure the first thing they will vote for is getting those damn thingies removed. But it will take approximately 20 years for a new generation to get voting rights. And whats more, the elder generations will most of the financial resources, so the ability of free speech and voting rights will be of less use than today.

In Danish papers not long ago, it was reported that the the company and its partners had oversold their service to danish municipalities, which received lots of negative coverage.
The people at the company defended themselves, saying their service provided great value, and the municipality officials said they were confident about their purchases.
With this shit, some people are getting their asses burned.. and a lot of people will say "I told you so".
What now? will all the current customers lose their services or will Microsoft take over business?
The philosophy simply catched on to a lot of weird stuff going on in my mind and I was happy to see others felt for that too.
So if the philosophy part is still as powerful, though it probably is concidered pop-philosophy by the experts, I'm preparing for another joyride.
A few things I can't help thinking of though..
I'm eager to see how the directors handle the fact that neo became "aware" in the first movie and could simply change anything at the end using his "imagination" in the Matrix.
My guess is that the major part of the movie will take place in "the real world" and the movie will be about transforming online life to offline life, kinda the oposite of whats going on with the internet today.
I wonder what kind of impact this transformation of the set will this have on the action scenes which were made possible and reasonable because of the virtual oportunities. In "the real world" we aint dodging bullets, though the movie may inspire some to try:)

Personally I have researched how to benefit real geographical communities with an online companion for almost 10 years now.
I started with the bbs's, but was limited by availability of technology and lack of technological experience by the commoners at that time. Then with the web I started discovering the oportunities in 93.
My conclusion so far is that it is possible and the local web communities, as a tool for each individual, may very well become important parts of our infrastructure in this modern world of information technology.
My discoveries were that it would require enormous resources to move from thought to action. Since 93 till now, I have produced several larger papers on subject and have notes and drawings taking up a significant amount of space.
In order to turn my vision into something tangible I started a company in 96 to further my research and develop the necessary tools. Tools are required, tools for the people to produce activity, tools are the most important asset. With no tools, there will be no activity, and the level of activity is the primary indicator of success or failure.

Appearently they would love to sell us game services online as they have been providing arcade and slot machines in the offline world.
People are used to all sorts of free online games, and thats hard to compete with.
To compete with free you need to have a killer product, remove the free game services, orprovide a near to free game service.
If it is the ladder we need a way of paying for these game services. credit card payments are simply too expensive if the product you are paying for costs less than a dollar.
Managed micropayment therefore seems obvious. To play the game services and use other services, you have an online banking account which is free to use for buyers and cheaper to use for merchants than paypal.
Another problem is the price of the games. Personally I would be compelled to purchase for online gaming services but there will be various game services. Some I only find worth a nickel, other a quarter, others even a dollar a game. The price will depend on the service I am getting.
And this is the problem with the net. Due to the cost of distributing such services over the net it may sometimes not even be sustainable business to offer the current games, large or small, because server equipment and bandwidth simply cost too much to keep alive in order to be able to offer these game services at a reasonable price. And the outcome of this, if sustainability can not be reached = chapter 11. game.DOT.NET|COM flushes down the toilet pipes..
Imagine AOL doing as pictured, implementing a proprietary mozilla version and a specific DRM kernel module, then some people will be pissed, som more than others, and these others would write some code.
Whats all this code about? Well this code is a virus called freelinuxfromaol which revokes the aol kernel module from being enabled and modifies the proprietary mozilla version in becoming compliant with the open standard version.
Don't underestimate the powers that B and those that are feeling suppressed.

Thats a retorical question in case you are in doubt.
Their discoveries can aid in explaining why we act as we do, but it can absolutely not be used as a guide. There are way too many factors not meassured in order for the results to be conciderer very scientific.
Eg. one of the factors used in group building. A type of leadership can arrise around a person who use another as dummy/whipping boy to put fear into the others. Old ways though, at least in the western world. Sort of:)

Another problem is the price of the games. Personally I would be compelled to purchase for online gaming services but there will be various game services. Some I only find worth a nickel, other a quarter, others even a dollar a game. The price will depend on the service I am getting.
And this is the problem with the net. Due to the cost of distributing such services over the net it may sometimes not even be sustainable business to offer the current games, large or small, because server equipment and bandwidth simply cost too much to keep alive in order to be able to offer these game services at a reasonable price. And the outcome of this, if sustainability can not be reached = chapter 11. game.DOT.NET|COM flushes down the toilet pipes..
but one day this will be it.
Do I see a linux virus coming on.
Imagine AOL doing as pictured, implementing a proprietary mozilla version and a specific DRM kernel module, then some people will be pissed, som more than others, and these others would write some code.
Whats all this code about? Well this code is a virus called freelinuxfromaol which revokes the aol kernel module from being enabled and modifies the proprietary mozilla version in becoming compliant with the open standard version.
Don't underestimate the powers that B and those that are feeling suppressed.
Now I only hope we haven't secured linux all too much.. mamma can you help me with this dilemma? sorry son, what is microsoft? what is linux? is than an AOL application?

I'm both sceptic and positive. I see a rather large amount of business users who could be prime purchasers.
For whatever it is worth, I flew to the US less than 3 weeks after the bombing.
I met lots of nice people, but I never stopped being amazed about why it so seldomly were asked why the US were being . It was all about how to deal with the perpetrators.
