    Microsoft Excel 97 does polynomial regressions with about three clicks of the mouse. OpenOffice Calc 1.01 doesn't do more than linear regressions.

    Hell, and does Joe Sixpack need polynomial regressions? This is the kind of feature comparisons that MS does. Weren't we talking about Joe Sixpack here?

    MMMhhh but if you actually (in an analog fashion) get the video out and want to copy it to, say, VHS, you encounter Macrovision. Macrovision is yet another system for preventing unauthorized copying and access to copyrighted material, and thus protected by the DMCA.

    The MPAA just figured what to use to plug the "analog hole"...they're using lawyers...

    Just for the ones who have never tried to dub a DVD. Macrovision tampers with your output video signal so that you will be able to watch it on a T.V. but any attempt to imput it to a VCR will cause severe image quality loss.

    What I really want to know is...are there any colorful playable games on the PS2 or the Xbox? While there are games for teenagers and grownups in the GC, I really don't see the games for kids in the other consoles....

    I saw an Xbox once at my cousin's. Couldn't get over the size of it. Good graphics...shitty console IMHO.

    I felt lots of nostalgia when I first saw the X-Box, it reminded me so much of my old Sony...Betamax.
    It's just a huge, grey, ugly box....

    Well, if the problem with the Dreamcast was the controllers, I reaally hope this kills the XBox as well. Overall, the best game controller ever is the GameCube controller.

    Whoever designed the XBox Controller has a serious brain damage.

    You don't hear about an isolated Israeli (at least now, look back some decades though) blowing up several civilians, you hear about the government demolishing the families of the dead Palestinian terrorist's relatives. Remember it's the Israeli government, supposedly civilized, who ordered this.

    From time to time, the houses are demolished with people inside. From time to time a missile is fired inside a crowded market or into a residential building by the Israeli government.

    I'm waiting until I see some storage device under 50 or so. We're getting larger and larger drives, but it's basically the same price, around 100 bucks. What I want is a 20GB drive for 20 USD, so that I can put a web kiosk for a decent price (or a jukebox). And I say it again: flash wont do....it's too expensive now.

    Really, cryptography is the answer. Stop receiving unsigned messages. This will not stop unsolicited messages from coming, but can effectively block "From:" spoofing once enough people start submitting their keys to public servers. Then common spammers can then be tracked NOT based on faked From: or even servers...

    This is the government.Specially with the govt. MS Windows is NOT Rs.0 (or Mexican Pesos $0, for that matter) They DO have to pay the licensing. I can see it because I live in Mexico.

    Yes it does. There's no physical reason for E & W, it's just an orthogonality convention. E.G. if north is to the front, to your right you have east.
