I agree with you completely. And as some of the others stated, it crashed my Ubuntu install within seconds of it's first startup. It was so bad it would not restart. I had to reinstall and that crashed as well. I finally was able to get it up and running on 3rd try, but it was so bad I had to turn it off. Please, don't EVER put that back in any of my Ubuntu installs please. Thanks.
First of all let me say by all rights this should be called Windows 7.5. Why? Because it IS Windows 7 with memory tweaks and file I/O tweaks and Metro tossed on for tablet/phone users. I beta test games. I've done it for 16 years. I also beta test OS's. Done that for even longer. Been in computers since 1971. And what a coincidence it is that I have the EXACT same errors in the game on Window 7 that I have in Windows 8. Talk about lets give the car a new coat of paint and change the name. LOL.

OK leaving the Data Studies, models, whatever behind. I'm 58 and the weather has changed severely for the worse than when I was young. A LOT more tornado's , hurricane's, severe thnderstorms, volcanic eruptions, tsunami's, and so on. That is a irrefutable fact. I've seen higher constant temperatures than ever in my life. The winters have less snow but stay below freezing longer than they ever have. Climate change is a fact. Look at movies of huge hunks of the icecaps breaking off and melting. So irregardless of whether it is caused by CO2 or Bob's BBQ grill or cow farts, the climate has severely changed. And for the worse, not better. Wake up and look around you.
I've used Ubuntu Linux for some years now. I've tried many, many other flavors of Linux but Ubuntu is still my favorite. I saw the comment about Unity, I hate it as well. It is not simple, not intuitive, and just basically sucks on many levels. I do use Synaptic as I find The Software Center pretty much useless and the number of programs I've installed from it, I can count on one hand. It looks like some kind generic trash program in my opinion and the number of programs available thru it are extremely limited. (I've even had programs that would not work thru it and addresses it refused to accept and keys it refused to use.) Yes Synaptic can be harder to learn but is a much more complete program and I prefer it over the Software Center by a extremely wide margin. That said, yes I also use apt-get and apt-update as well. The program selection that can be used with it is huge. Far larger than Synaptic or The Software Center. But you have to add addresses, keys and know the proper procedures to implement it properly. Which is not a easy feat for many new Linux users. I for one will be adding Synaptic back into my 11.10 Ubuntu install when it comes online. OK rant off.:)

Having watched Doctor Who since the seventies, she will be sorely missed. I have enjoyed so many hours watching her beside 2 doctors and then through her own series. Which she very much deserved and I very much enjoyed. So many of the people I have enjoyed in my life have gone away and now another one leaves me behind. Goodbye my friend.

I'm no longer surprised by anything the government does. They barely even try to appear truly legal anymore. And then only when it suits their needs. One of the biggest tricks they have is making you believe there is a difference between democrats and republicans. It makes no difference who is in office. Someone is pulling whoever's strings is in office. To use a analogy, you're looking at the SAME coin, you're just flipping it back and forth. And yes the copyright/patent laws are so far out of control I don't know they could ever be fixed. Broken entirely and insane. And in case no one noticed, nice misdirection. Don't look at the REAL crimes that government is committing everyday and nothing happens to them.
I have a Facebook account I use to keep in contact with friends from High School. As far as I'm concerned it's like this. If it is my Facebook page and I post the picture, there is no reasonable expectation of privacy. If I post it, they can tag it. Now if someone else takes my pic and post it on some Facebook page, they cannot tag it. I never gave permission for it to be there and there is a reasonable expectation of privacy. Now let the courts argue it so some slime lawyer can make money.
Well this is just wrong on too many levels. Really doesn't surprise me though with corporate mentally as it is today. At one time Sony made really good products, but they have steadily gone downhill since about the early 80's. I dont know who's running Sony now, but he should quit in disgrace. They screw up their software side just as bad. Virtually every game they touch for online, they kill. They not only have a bad product rep, they have just as bad a rep in the gaming industry as well. To quote a old saying. "How far the mighty have fallen".
