the ONLY reason i want a self driving car is so that i can study during my daily commute. i consider driving time wasted time. i already know the scenery, i don't care for news on the radio, i don't enjoy driving. i really want self-driving cars to get to the point where i can safely pick up an oreilly book and study.
what's so weird about that? if i buy a thing from shop XYZ, then that is where i will go to return it if it breaks. i don't care who manufactured it. my sales contract was with the seller, not the manufacturer.
if you're a supplier who does not offer a 2 year warranty to your resellers, you'll have a hard time finding resellers in EU. not impossible, but difficult.
the more annoying thing is, that for a device this expensive, the warranty is only 1 year long. apple even tried to bring that crap to EU. fortunately, apart from UK, the whole EU has 2 year warranty on everything.
did you not RTFA (2nd link)? the market price of the phone is 1180 rupees (16 EUR), they're selling it for 251 rupees (3.33 EUR). i expect the bootloader to be locked so people can't remove the 12 preinstalled sponsor apps.
In 2010, the UN estimated based on Indian statistics that 626 million people practice open defecation.[10] In June 2012 Minister of Rural Development Jairam Ramesh stated India is the world's largest "open air toilet". He also remarked that Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have better sanitation records.[11]
a few years ago, when they sent their orbiter to Mars, i was listening to an interview with a head honcho of their space programme on BBC radio. the interviewer mentioned they're a country where over half the population have no access to a toilet and whether it's reasonable to spend so much money on a space programme instead of sanitation. i was cringing just sitting in my car. the interviewee tried really hard to imply space programme will bring progress and benefit the whole nation but one could see he was just grasping at straws. it was very uncomfortable to listen to.
i can already see how this circular reasoning will develop:
merkins started talking about backdoored encryption. russians say: "look at america, they're gonna do it. we might as well do it too". then merkins will say: "look, other countries are already doing it. now we HAVE to do it too" at that point britain will already have daily mandatory anal probing for all their citizens.
this is clear artificial obsolescence. e.g.: chromebooks manufactured today are usually slower than ones from 2013. the ones from 2013 have 2955U CPU, which is a lot faster than today's n3050, n3060, etc CPUs. upcoming chromebooks with n3150 will finally be (tiny bit) faster. i am quite annoyed that slower chromebooks will receive updates for longer than mine.
in normal movies, part of the fun is looking for significance behind every weird gesture, unexpected object, person, etc. in here, if it looks out of place, it's just out of place and doesn't mean anything. i could not be bothered to finish watching this thing.
it would be wise to say those speeds are in km/h. also, where are these belgian hills you speak of?
my only experience with cycling in Belgium was going from Bruges, BE to Sluis, NL. the guy who rented us bikes said it was just round the corner. i still have nightmares about that bicycle seat and the 2x 30km journey i spent on it. as Homer Simpson would say: "Stupid Flanders." (european joke)
can we all take a moment and appreciate the last collaboration of Microsoft and an automobile maker? let's take this shining example - Blue&Me (Windows CE in Fiat/Alfa Romeo/whatever else Fiat owns). so, what do the owners regularly do? http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum... oh yes, disconnect the f***ing car battery every now and then to get the damn thing to work.
after those 18-24 months of support, how about AOSP roms? or at least they should give us a way to create and install them easily (unlock bootloader and open drivers or update kernel with their blobs). but nooooo. let's outdate the OS, make the battery non-replaceable and make it lose capacity after 150 charges.
somebody think of the children! (and the pollution we leave behind for them to die in)
i really don't understand how lithium was ever deemed safe for pocket devices. if i had a tesla car, i'd be really scared of even the smallest collision. fortunately, my hybrid has a NiMH battery.

no i meant apart from UK, where it is 1 year. it's the main reason why electronics are slightly cheaper there than in the rest of europe.

> And in next 3 years it will also be one of the top 4 nations in space.
let's hope they won't forget to bring space toilets along.
oh, it's full of them. i, however, am not from there (hence the reference to BBC).

well, this project might and that's good. mars orbiter on the other hand isn't a commercial endeavor.

but this is a good thing. paypal gets bad publicity, seafile gets exposure (and new customers). the more public this gets, the better.

a commonly known BS is still BS. i am also inclined not to believe anything that comes from china.
once again, what guarantee do we have that port knocking won't activate the feature regardless of what's set in bios/uefi?
yes, absolutely.
they should make it 100% smaller and stop polluting slashdot
is she single? if she can cook, she might be the most valuable asset yahoo has.
greater throughput means less time in active mode, more time in deep sleep.
it could also mean he has great many socks (and only gets to wear each pair once a month or so)

did you listen to the dialogue? it's not AI-generated, its A-generated. just artificial, no intelligence behind it.
it was just weird.
