Your statements are not what most people would call justice. Most people take it very seriously to have to take someones life from them and are willing to give them all the chances they need at "appeals and extra bullshit".
I'm speculating here, but I think you would be surprised how few (if any) of the victims of this guy would actually want to pull the trigger on a firing squad to execute this man. They were marathon runners in Boston, not exactly blood thirsty revenge types.
Holy shit! I hadn't even started the video until reading your comment, but I am shocked and appalled that there is a background of cats behind this douche in the video. I didn't watch the whole thing, but skipped through enough to see that there were no booth babes in the video! Why would I want to watch this video about booth babes, when there are none in the video?
Just be glad you couldn't get service with GCI when you were there. When they raised all the internet plan connection speeds, they simultaneously put caps on the data that you could hit in 2 days if you tried.
Yeah, I was thinking 1 Mbps too. I still stand that if the guy said "pretty fucking fast" he most likely was referring to higher speeds. If I was going to use an expletive to describe how fast a connection was (in a good way) it would definitely be over 1Mbps.
1MBps is faster, but still not exactly "pretty fucking fast".
I wasn't implying that it was all fast here, but that no one would praise 1Mbps as being really fast.
I'm not sure if your username is referring to Alaska or not, but if it is, GCI in Anchorage has a minimum speed of 10Mbps now and a max of 50Mbps. It's fairly common to have fast speeds in major metro areas in the US. Rural areas, not so much.
Can we stop saying this? This will not happen. Even if a massive earthquake occurred that could cause changes of this magnitude, the North American Plate does not go under the Pacific Plate. It is a transform fault.
Why shouldn't it be easier for a pothead to score weed? It's not like it's particularly hard for them now; it's just illegal. I'd rather them be a minor drain on society by playing video games at home all day, instead of a major drain on society by being in prison all day.
What about that time Isaac Hayes became A #1 Duke of New York and kidnapped the president in the 70's? I saw the video of Snake Plisskin infiltrating the city and it looked pretty bad.
To use a tired car analogy on Slashdot: This is like Ford and Chevy competing on features for their newest model trucks and saying that smaller passenger cars are the real opponent. Truck users and passenger car users are different markets with some overlap. This is the same as console gamers and mobile gamers. If someone needs to haul lumber to a location, they will need a truck. If someone wants to play an epic game with top notch sound and graphics, they will use a console. They might sell more passenger cars (mobile) than trucks (consoles), but they both still have their uses and market segments.
This isn't some Highlander dick waving contest where there can be only one gaming device. They all have their markets that they serve.
Not to mention that there is more than just graphics. Console gamers also enjoy hearing the sounds of their games through their multi-channel surround sound systems.
Okay then, show me an iPad or iPhone that can push next generation console graphics at 1080P. Please note: I'm not saying iDevices can't have decent graphics, they just aren't going to be of the same level.
Am I the only one that very strongly hates that if I buy a new game from Gamestop and sell it back a month later, i'll get $10 back, but they'll gladly sell it to other people for $55. (woo, $5 cheaper). Gamestop provides absolutely no value to the gaming market with their used game money.
This is clearly a disconnect between the price you felt the game was worth and what GameStop feels it is worth. This is no different from a car dealer accepting a trade-in for below value and selling it for considerable more. If you want to hustle the game on craigslist, or wherever, you can get closer to that $55 dollars, but if you want to take the easy route and throw it to GameStop, you won't get as good a price.
I'm really curious though, if there was a Mass Effect 4, would you "have" to buy it? That's really what they live on, getting people sucked in and shoveling shit their way.
They've been making games for 30 years already. It's quite likely his grandkids will still be dealing with their crap. Gamers seem willing to put up with absolutely horrendous levels of crap.
Fatigue is not a phenomena found exclusively in metals. Plastics and composities experience fatigue as well. Take a small piece of plastic like a toothpick and bend it back and forth many times and see what happens. In addition, fatigue is not the only way that a material can fail.
Unless you have some case studies indicating longer life, you're just guessing.
The boston bomber should be accused of using an explosive device to commit mass murder and mayhem.
So a Weapon of Mass Murder and Mayhem then? Is that really so different from destruction?

No one on /. is going to call 1MBps "pretty fucking fast" retard.
Obviously they already had a meter and determined they needed a more precise and repeatable definition that still matched what an actual meter was.

It's never been near the top

I have a feeling people will be willing to upgrade optical drives if they can store a petabyte on a disc.

Fucking brilliant guess. He speaks English and posts on a predominately American site.

If your going to post a ".NET hate response" I imagine your system has a /dev/null/
They only did a study on plugins. They must be assuming that WordPress itself is super secure. Bad assumption.
I can get on board with that idea.
That doesn't really indicate which company has been doing it longer or better. You know Peter Moore didn't start everything at EA in 2007, right?

You had to go full retard. You never go full retard.
