    .223 is not a very high powered cartridge for hunting.

    It was a fraudulent trade. He intentionally bought 1000x what he should have bought, and through some fast talking got another firm to short sell a comparable amount. I don't think the guy got beyond step 2 ???. He basically set up one firm to make a lot of money and the other to lose a lot, don't know how he expected to get any of it. Source

    Just to step in here. A dividend to the share holders is not wasting the money. The share holders are the owners of a company, and like it or not, sometimes the owners want to get paid.

    Perhaps you aren't aware of this, but crimes committed with guns in the US do indeed come with harsher penalties and sentences. Legally allowing civilians to carry weapons does not mean you are treated lightly when you misuse that right in the committing of a crime.

    That is possible with an RPG. They are used all the time to defend people and positions. Also, guns are used everyday by people to mistakenly hurt others and themselves. Is that pedantic enough for you?

    It's because people can't seem to understand what needs to change in society. When robots do everything for us, we don't need to do any work. No work means no wages. This wouldn't be a problem if the robots just provided everything for us freely, but the masses shrilly scream about socialism at anything remotely like that.

    A future where minimal human effort is needed to survive doesn't really mesh well with Capitalism. That's a major change that many people can't comprehend.

    Please stop assuming every other company gets a free pass. This article is about Apple, which would explain why most of the comments are singling out Apple. Should everyone in this thread attach a list of electronics manufacturers to their comments to make you happy?

    Also if you reread the comment you replied to, he was referring to the consumers guilt, not Apple's.

    It's not that funny. Enterprise roll-out of a new OS is always a slow process and may not happen for a given OS version. This is not an indication of how good or bad an OS is. IE6 would be considered by most people to be a horrible browser, but some companies still use it to work with legacy web apps. If a company used a linux distro as their standard OS, would they constantly update packages or, in the case of Ubuntu, would they upgrade to the latest version every time one was released?

    Hearing anecdotal evidence of how average people relate to the OS is a better indication of the UI's usefulness or lack of usefulness. Granted they don't have to deal with hundreds of support issues or much backwards compatibility.

    Because, AFAIK, no malware can disable UEFI yet. I believe the entire point is to prevent malware from infecting the boot process.

    relax. They aren't saying GPS is useless. ikanreed seemed to not understand how to navigate the world without GPS, these people were helping him out. It may be a pain in the ass to navigate by maps sometimes, and look for the proper streets, but you will learn a city much faster that way than by listening to the GPS all the time.

    Will any navigation system find the nearest public restroom for you? You know, in case you have a case of the squirts in the middle of rush hour in a city you are unfamiliar with.

    So you're saying that all programmers are in the top 10% of American personal income?

    I don't care who you are or what you do, but $80k a year allows someone to live a comfortable life in America. If someone can't live well with that amount of money, they are spending money frivolously, have personal vices, or they are probably dumb.

    I've done countless mysql dumps and restores and never had to hand edit the dump files. If you're doing web work you can also use phpmyadmin to work with mysql, which is kind of nice.

    I prefer PostgreSQL and would recommend it over MySQL though.
