"Thoroughly tested" on what sort of platforms? No matter how thorough of a beta test you do, you can't possibly hit every combination of hardware and software that will be running your software, so you can't possibly know everything that could possibly happen.
There is no bug-free software, excluding things like "Hello World".
I, personally, have had no problems with SP2 on any machine I have it installed on (three pc's at the house with wildly different hardware, and about 7 pc's in my small office with xpsp2, all running on some form of Dell)
Sure you can, if you're willing to put some effort in it. You can specify the root directory for user profiles (default = c:\documents and settings); I have mine set to a SMB share on a Linux machine on the network.
Right now, they're recouping their R&D costs. Eventually, much like NCSoft (City of Heroes) or Funcom (Anarchy Online) or even Sony Online Entertainment (EQ1) they will let you download the client and sign up via their website.
What's the point in buying upgraded computer parts then? Or cars?
Technology improves over time. If you expect what you buy today to be top of the line even a year from now, I have some oceanfront property in Wyoming for you.
They offer debit cards to access your paypal account via atm's and credit card purchases. They are acting as a bank, therefore need to be regulated as one.
In right to work states, such as Georgia (where Coke is based) they can fire you for any reason they wish, as long as that reason does not violate any number of laws preventing discrimination due to age, religion, race or physical handicap.
When you park a vehicle with the Coca Cola logo at a place that exclusively serves Pepsi products, what do you think management is going to think of your company loyalty?
the people I know who work for coke drink Mountain Dew, but take careful pains to hide that fact from their superiors. I've known more than a few who got fired for having lunch at Taco Bell.
No questions asked, no fighting for your job. You get fired. This includes if your boss sees you at Pizza Hut, Taco Bell or KFC, since those entities are owned by TriCon, who also owns Pepsi.
Coke's employee base is very nearly fanatical in their loyalty to their product, and use of "the blue" is not accepted. I worked in a building *owned* by Coke, and we were not even allowed to have a Pepsi machine on our floor.
You also have to remember that while most people are no more than 1-2 feet from their PC monitor when playing, many/most people sit 6-10 feet back from their TV. Higher resolutions get smaller and details can get harder to pick out.
User Friendly jumped the shark over a year ago.

Funny, I've never found a terminal adapter on any book I've ever purchased. =P

Didn't Netcaptor or MyIE2 or Avant have tabs before Opera?
Much like the Anarchist's Cookbook, anyone who follows these instructions is a Darwin Award in the making.

Pregnancy, the only STD with a 100% mortality rate!
Sure, if it's home made or in a nice restaurant. But go to a fast food seafood place, and it's all mayo/relish with no extras.
Tartar sauce is mayo and pickle relish. ;p
;)
You just made thousand island without the pickles.
Thousand Island salad dressing is nothing more than tartar sauce and ketchup mixed together, so what are you talking about? =P
Sure it does, because at one point I had to travel to India to train my replacements. ;p
If you buy a gold support plan or higher, you get an American call center. At least for small business customers.

No, these people were driving Coca-Cola vans, or were driving company cars.
The difference there is that you signed a contract indicating you agreed to these restrictions. If you want a tasty burrito, don't go to Taco Bell.

My iPod mounts as a removable disk in Windows XP, no proprietary drivers required.
names are off, but the deal still exists.

Coke employees who drink Pepsi get fired.

in otherwords, you want the hardware to do things for you because you're too lazy to maintain proper id3 tags.
