You're forgetting that IRC servers only send messages to servers that either are hubbing a client server holding the intended recipient, or are holding the intended recipient itself.
It's not hard for them to update Xbox Live, I was a beta tester for it and I recieved three seperate discs for it. At first, the options for xbox live could only be accessed by booting from the revolt/Xbox Live setup disk. The second disk they shipped added it to the Xbox dashboard rendering some modded Xbox'es with custom dashboards unusable. I haven't used the retail disk yet so I don't know what changes have been made besides switching our boxes over to use the real servers instead of the beta servers.
They have that in the desktop models too. I don't know if you are talking about a little steel cage with a riser board on it that contains the pci slots and the plate for the back of the case where the cards sit.
Yeah, I noticed that.... It's kinda funny, to the left and up of the search box, there is the following text:
Looking for Reliable Broadband?
Get SBC DSL Internet Service
They didn't block port 25 outgoing. That would mean that they couldn't check email. They blocked incoming port 25. So people could not host smtp servers.
It's easy to cheat on Millionaire. I have done it, (but not won). You can hit Ctrl-Alt-Del on a Win 9x/Me comp (because it suspends all processes) once the choices for the answer come on screen. Then wait for the answer to be revealed. Select the right answer and get full bonus points. I am sure there are other ways to cheat, but this is the only one I am aware of.

I have crashed my PlayStation a couple of times. Once was when I was playing Thrasher, Skate or Die. On one of the quarter pipes in one of the levels, you can ride sideways on it straight into a wall. When you hit the wall you go through it and up onto the top of the building. If you fall off of the side of the building outside of the level and start pulling a bunch of tricks, (40) the game crashes and shows a bunch of registers and stuff on screen.
A guy I know took one apart and hooked two wires up to the flash with solder bulbs on the end. He would charge the flash and then touch the wires to someone. It would leave white burn marks on people's skin. I have been shocked twice by a disposable camera. It really hurts, wouldn't recommend it.

200KB? I get 600KB from MS sometimes and at least 400KB from Akamai most of the time. One question though, does Cox@Home have anything to do with AT&T or is @Home owned by AT&T?
I get mail to Mike Rotch some times. And they will even mail stuff to Bill Gates from Microsoft. I get mail to Poop Fart Poop Crotch Poop Fart sometimes.
I have no idea how it happened but my house is now getting mail in the name of Jim Dennis. No one has ever lived here by that name. I only happened recently and now Jim Dennis is approved for a titanium Discover card.
Jim Dennis does not exist at my house. B.T.W. - Jim is my dad's name and Dennis is his brother's.
I don't think it was modified. I have a program that is supposed to remove the cap, but I have not tried it yet. My modem was brand new, right out of the sealed box and I have not modified it at all. There are differences in the modems @Home uses. The White CyberSurfer modems have a high cap, same as the SURFboard. But I have heard that people with the Black CyberSurfer modems have low caps and slow service.
I also live in the San Diego area, yet instead of a 12kb upload mine top out at 40-50kb and my friend who has had @Home since '95 (When @Home was introduced into his neighborhood) gets 40-50kb also. I know someone who was running a server (Warez) and was using lots of bandwidth (50 users x 50 kb) at a time. Cox@Home gave him a warning and that was the end of it. Cox@Home says that you can't run servers, yet they only scan for NNTP every 20 seconds (or so it seems).
P.S. - Never install their software if you run windoze. It contains software monitoring and all kinds of other junk. Even the installers tell users not to install it now.

I work at an Ice Skating Rink and I am one of the DJ's there. My friend (Also a DJ) and I have been considering this idea ever since I saw that ad in Wired 8.09 (pg 129). If we could have a list of songs that have barcodes on them, we could just have the:CueCat sitting next to it and people could just scan their requests. The MP3's would be either named the acutal code that the:CueCat spits out or just the decoded UPC's. Winamp would read them in and then automagically add them to the playlist. But I have two questions,
1: Can the:CueCat read any text in a barcode?
2: Are there any other (read: better) ways to do this?
Also, has anyone had any luck with stores in the Escondido, CA area. We have 4 Radio Shacks but I have only gone to one any they didn't mention the cat.

I -just- (2 hours ago) lost a drive doing that this afternoon. Smelled up my entire. RIP 80gb maxtor. Oh well, rma already on it's way ;/
Same here, I've had nothing but great service from them. My box:
6:27PM up 89 days, 17:39, 5 users, load averages: 0.74, 0.68, 0.74

It's not winpopup, it's the windows messenger (not MSN) service.
Judges should be chosen together by both parties.
Stupid ads
Why do they have to be so big?
Oh well.
You know: Dude! You're getting a Dell!
Starcraft has UDP now also.

They could call it CueCat!!! The new cube (old box) could be called a cue and it would go for it. I can see it now.

I just checked for the Startup Disk. And it is still possible to make one. I am not sure if it will let you access DOS.
Just refresh a couple of times.
