Programming didn't get harder, using a computer just got massively easier. How hard is it to go to a site like http://www.compileonline.com/i..., choose a language, and start learning? If kids can find pornhub they should be able to find this if they are so inclined. People need to face the fact, not everyone will enjoy programming, and not everyone will be good at it.
The attacker has to have a presence on my LAN and then they can adjust the volume of a TV..... wow. I really think that's low on the list of things to worry about if they are on my subnet. I don't own one of these sets but this isn't a big deal IMO.
Doesn't seem like the most plausible thing to do, the VIC-20 idea seems more workable. For starters the 1 has a base that the 7 lacks in Dragster. Possible sure, but given the technology and resources available to a teenager in those days it seems like not a likely thing to do. He would have to dim part of the top horizontal bar and figure out how to create a short horizontal base at the bottom.
I actually was one of the few who bought Dragster and played it on an original 2600. It was a strangely addictive game.
Could still be a hardware issue. I've worked on enough real time systems to know that what's true in theory is often not completely true in practice, because someone overlooked something. For a modern example look at RowHammer. Has anyone addressed the supposed two other times he performed this feat in public? Once at CES IIRC? I'mnot saying this is legit but the proofs are not completely convincing to me. I had both an original 2600 and a VIC-20, by the way, yeah, I'm that old. The joystick was the achilles heel of the 2600.
Also to add a layer of difficulty, it was a Polaroid apparently. The VIC-20 explanation seems much better, or a simple glitch he figured out how to exploit.
How do they know there's not some input edge case that allows for a better time? Seems like an audit of the machine code and the hardware would be the only way to really know. I didn't spend time watching the video.
A guy I know was thoroughly searched because he lived in the Philippines for several years and they quickly found some bikini pics of his Filipina wife on his iPad. Normally having pics of your wife on a personal device isn't criminal but it took him over 12 hours to get his gizmos back and get back to travelling. Maybe they just liked looking at his wife.
It should be noted that the battery packs in a plugin hybrid like the Prime are pretty small and should not be a huge expense to replace compared to a Tesla or whatever.
Langley reportedly took "early retirement" and moved to the Philippines if I heard the story right, the shooter was let go. The whole thing was a mess IMO.
Just so you know, the officer giving the orders was not Brailsford, it was a Sgt Langley. The infamous bodycam video is from Brailsford and picks up Langley giving some pretty awful verbal directions.
Yeah my main monitor is a Dell 43" 4K which I use in conjunction w/ a 20" 4:3 in portrait that happens to have basically the same dot pitch - like I said the Visual Studio model would (IMO) work fantastically for a workspace like this. I agree, we're not all the same, and as long as they make this sets thing opt in, well , maybe it's a step in the right direction as far as giving people options goes. If they try it out wit the intent to herd us all into it - blech.
In other news, the world doesn't need another Chromebook Microsoft, kill 10S with fire.
So you're saying match.com and saucey.com should co-brand and cooperate?

I want a smartwatch, but I want one with at least 10 days of battery life. Anything less and I won't spend my money on one.

It's in the part 2 video.
But what happens to the mole rats?

Two other times in public with a large number of observers. Seems like someone should address that little detail .....
How about that: http://www.gamesdatabase.org//...

You disabled paging, most likely, not virtual address mapping.

Trusted 3rd parties are multi-trillion dollar opportunities.
Brailsford is not the voice you hear in the video. The voice is the officer who was in charge of the scene, a Sgt Langley IIRC.
Because people who just called themselves in as a murdering hostage taker always come to the front door confused and scratching their ass. Right.

It sounded like a rifle shot to me. Time will tell.
"Plant based meat" is an oxymoron unless that's what we're calling grass fed beef now.
Microsoft is making noises like it's going to try and push Windows 10S in a big way, and moves like this are likely just the opening shots.
Earth sourced (using the earth as a heat sink) heat pumps are also a thing.
