    The answer is "it is not". Judging from the projects own wording, this is designed to violate the rights of the copyright holder.

    If there is one copy at the start, and two copies at the end, then a copy has been made. If one does not have the right to make the copy, said right being reserved by law to the owner of the copy right, one has broke copy right law.

    This is an obvious tool for infringing on the copyrights of other. If it were not, then there would be no reason to say

    "Nobody shares any copyrighted files, and therefore nobody needs to hide away."

    They can't even hide behind "it has other uses", because of all the talk about copyrights.

    That is not what you said, cancer is often genetically different from it's host, and chances are the oldest cancer tissue is older than you are and outlived it's host.

    The DNA of a cancer cell says it is human. Therefore, according to your own words, no one should be allowed to kill or experiment on cancer cells.

    See, the local/state government can say "All your warehouse and their contents belong to us now because you didn't pay your taxes." It is called seizing the assets of a tax cheat.

    The fact that Amazon is trying to cheat the tax system kind of make your "biting the hand" statement irrelevant.

    Never a good idea. After all the government makes the rules and interprets the rules. Imagine if the government decides to seize the warehouses and their contents. Amazon will have a serious problem at that point.
