How about the rigged exit polls that pushed the pro-kerry early call on election day? You know, the ones done by Warren Mitofsky, old line liberal and CBS News veteran.

    Has /. turning into democraticunderground? If you are going ot look into anything look into the vast number of dead voters in the Chicago area who voted 100% for Kerry. How about the bus loads of voters being bused from NYC to vote in Philly. What about the Dem judges who allowed people to vote multipe times in Ohio. If you don't know what ditrict local you were in, you could vote in any district as long as you said which district you were in. So all you had to do was take a littel trip around the state and vote in each district and have your multiple votes count.

    So glad to see this sch even handed reporting here in /. Way ot turn off 52% of the voters in this past election.

    You have a left wing propaganda wing - It's called the Main Street Media(especially CBS). They couldn't blow enough sunshine up our butts about how great sKerry/Edwards was and how EVIL W was.

    Now we get to hear all the MSM eating their young by saying how much of a lightweight Edwards was. Gee, the old media couldn't tell us this before hand. The new media already clued most people in on this fact already.

    I hope you don't get sick anytime soon, or you might have to wait 12+ months to see a doctor. Either that or come down to the best country in the world. America said they didn't want your disastrous health care system and they didn't want a friggen Trial Lawyer in the whitehouse(he would actually have his own place, but you knwo what I mean). It's the trial lawyers fault for the unbelievable rise in liability insurance.

    Just go cry in a the corner and let us deal with our own country.

    Very well stated. Insteaad of spitting venom like some of your fellow dems, you choose to look inward and admit that party line/candidates were not what america was looking for.

    What do most people answer when asked what their political leans are? They will inveriably say "fiscal conservative and socially liberal" if they don't want to offend the person asking. Why do they do this? because people know it's the righ thing to do, but the two are pretty much mutually exclusive. Why did I go into this? The Democratic party is not switching from it's "socially liberal" stance, but the GOP led congress HAS shifted from it's "fiscal conservative" base. THIS is the soft underbelly of the GOP at the moment and should be the focus of the DNC.

    Whatever you do, don't give up. Checks and balances are what America is based upon, and right now there aren't too many left.

    You could always move to place with a different form of government. Why don't you try a middle eastern Muslm controlled country? Of course if you are not Muslim you would be arrested(worse?) if they found you worshiping a non muslim god. How about Cuba? That's different. I hope you don't like expressing this type of anti-establishment rhetoric in public, because Fidel would have you locked up(or worse) and throw away the key.

    Or maybe you'll just have to stay where you are with all your freedoms that others have provided for you with their lives and hold your nose in disgust.

    My main point was that you don't know enogh about what is going on. My secondary point was that I am in favor of the security folks(CIA, HS, FBI, etc...) continuing to advance their craft. How am I lazy for not being able to investigate what secret operations are going on? That is idiocy. Complain all you want, that's fine. I was simply pointing out the flaws in your air-tight argument.

    How about this mental excercise - What does the US do if OBL is in Pakistan? Send an armed force into a country that possesses nuclear weapons? We are trying to get the Pakistani's help on this issue, but they are the same a-holes who told OBL that cruise missles were coming after him in the 1st spot. Face it, we are screwed with respect to OBL, and there isn't much that can be done. Blame Bush all you want, but it doesn't matter since you would blame him for action as well as inaction, because you only have one thing on your mind - blame Bush.

    Let me get this straight. You are claiming to know where to spend all this money without knowing where the money is currently being spent? A bit arrogant of you don't you think?

    Others have pointed out that we can't digest the information we are gathering now. So what you are saying is the we should not continue to look for more/different ways to collect data until we get OBL? I'm fine with creating different ways to collect data, provided that we CAN interpret the data when a specific situation occurs.

    But wo am I to disagree with a person who OBVIOUSLY knows better what to do given 0.000001% of the information on the topic.

    It's the Georgia Tech IT department getting ready to expell a student for having it's systems /.'d You would think that /. would look at the supplied links and do some filtering when it comes to links hosted by a University. But I guess that is asking too much. I hope Ga Tech students enjoy using pencil and paper while their computer systems turn to a pile of molten metal.

    and I don't believe CBS would make such a blatant mistake, because any competent journalist would look hard at the authenticity issue knowing thats the first thing the critics will bring up.

    I gave the steps to follow to make THIS particular fake document(s). And apparently the person who did make these fakes IS that stupid.

    But CBS is STILL sticking to it's story that the memo is authentic. All I need to know is the path this memo took before it was put on CBS:
    1. Origin unknown
    2. spent a couple weeks at DNC
    3. Given to CBS
    4. CBS gives it to the White House and told to make it public or they will.
    5. Memo released by White House.

    Steps 1 & 2 were pretty much not questioned by CBS, so I have no sympathy for them and the asses they have made of themselves.

    That's nice. Too bad you had to hunt for it, because it wasn't on the front page, only the negative bush link. And then when you got to the negative article, there were no mention of this article, nor a link to it.

    But I'm sure your conscience is now clear and you don't see anything wrong with that.
