Heh, the MegaGames near where I live used to (and had been since they started putting software titles on CD) just rent a regular game (I'm sure they had paid the "rental" type price for the license to rent the game out, but there was no copy protection to be seen.
I just stopped drinking Mountain Dew cold turkey last week and I know your pain. I had about a 2 liter/day "habit", and I've been one mean, headachy sonofabitch lately. Can't help it though. Next on the list is to stop smoking cigs. Wish me luck.
Not all states are like that, unfortunatley I live in the worst state for that sort of thing. Florida has the highest ratio of people that don't have their liberty to the general populace, and they make it almost impossible to get them back. Another state, Vermont I think, gives you your rights back when ever you finish your sentence or probation. That's how it should be, under Florida law your WILL be punished twice for any felony.
"The Libertarian notion that constitutional protections stop at the private property line, and that it is therefor ok, even reasonable, for employers to invade and snoop the personal correspondence of their employees merely because such correspondence passes through their privately owned equipment or networks is responsible for more loss of individual privacy than all of the government's orwellian snooping combined, if for no other reason than that the focus of the privacy invasion is targeted so specifically by an entity against a relatively small group of people (their employees)."
Please show me where you got this little tid-bit of info from. I don't believe that they really think that. It's way too far out of line with the rest of their stances.
I know at least Nero and NTI are bundled with OEM systems and Burners. I also know that Padus is better IMHO than any other x86 CD-burning software out there.
What would be so freaking difficult about having a "Children's Section" in your library? If you're under 18 you use the filtered/monitored computer(s) near the librarian's desk. Keep the other computers in the reference area where they are supposed to be. I live in a small rural town that uses this system, and this isn't even an issue for us.
Roxio doesn't have a Monoploy on ANYTHING. There are at least 10-15 other CD burning softwares for Windows. Let me think, Nero, Padus DiskJuggler, CDR-WIN, Clone-CD, NTI CD-R,...Ok well that's all I could think of off the top of my head but Roxio is still a far cry from a monopoly.
Keeping info on your computer is great, the problem is that Gator is spyware. It sends all of the info (minus passwords) to whoever pays Gator for it. Therefore it isn't staying on your computer. That's a Bad Thing(tm).
Would the sensor go off it you had just used a strong mouthwash, like Listerine?

Your God? Talk about low standards.
Seeing as I drank Mountain Dew 'cause I don't like coffee, I don't see that as being a problem.
:)

Probably one of the reasons EB will never fold.

I agree with you completely, however 18 is when the (U.S.)law thinks you are ready to think for yourself.

why not use cds?
No, they don't. Have you never taken a laptop on a plane before?
Jaysyn
I don't have a URL, but I read somewhere that the rental car company got in trouble for doing that, as it was an invasion of privacy.
