    You can still get all of that stuff you mentioned, it just so much cheaper for the manufacturer to put everything onboard.

    Or how about soldering some nails to a 9 volt battery and stabbing someone in the heart with it. Happened in a prison my ex-roomate worked at. Some little dude was getting harrassed (read raped) by a larger inmate, so (supposedly) he killed his ass with a 9 volt.....

    p.s. my ex-roomate could tell some tall tales, but this didn't seem like one at the time..

    I had a guy do that in one of my classes too. Shorted out the classroom & most of the hallway, for about a 1/2 hour.

    We know better! ;) That guy probably had nothing but eye/ear candy done to his car. I.E. all talk no action. Although though beating a 4cyl in a 6cyl isn't exactly an accomplishment (or even anything to be bragging about). I have seen a few Neons / Supras /RX-7's that would probably give you a run for your money.

    We had a group that did this in the morning before school, every other day, while we played hackey sack in the same courtyard. They never bothered anyone, and never had anything said to them about it. Of course I do live in the south, so I guess that the administration could choose too "overlook" some of the stuff that was going on if they felt like it...

    The Thunderbird my fiance bought last month is the quietest PC in the house, and it is sitting right beside the TV in the Den. I know, I couldn't believe it when I turned it on, 3 fans & almost no noise.

    WAAAY OFF TOPIC....

    It's a 2.0 in a Tiburon. And don't knock it until you drive it, as it also has a Variable Timing System. I've yet to have any problems keeping up with any other normally aspirated 4cyl, INCLUDING spanking a vaunted VTEC Integra on I-10 on the way home last Friday.

    DirecPC would be one of thier competitors, which if they can cut a deal on DSS & Internet services, then I'll probably go with them instead. I wouldn't feel too bad about my neighbors subsidizing the cost of my DSS.

    about $650 for setup & $50-$70 / month from Pegasus. I live WAY out in the boonies (we won't have Cable TV for 5 more years), and I was thinking about getting with my nieghbors (mostly rich engineer types who wanted to get away from the city) to see if they wanted to bury some cat-5 and split the cost of one of those Pegasus systems....

    I believe I would shoot myself. We just had to run/walk a mile then we could go do whatever we wanted, basketball, softball, volleyball, hackey sack whatever. Hell even if the school doesn't have the funds for a basketball, bring your own. Running in circles for 45 minutes every day?

    OMG....I am so glad I didn't become a (science) teacher like I was planning to in the 10th grade......Maybe the reason there aren't many good science teachers, is because the smart ones get out before it's too late (or have a Phd and make 55K per year like my H.S. History teacher)
