Or how about soldering some nails to a 9 volt battery and stabbing someone in the heart with it. Happened in a prison my ex-roomate worked at. Some little dude was getting harrassed (read raped) by a larger inmate, so (supposedly) he killed his ass with a 9 volt.....
p.s. my ex-roomate could tell some tall tales, but this didn't seem like one at the time..
Does this only effect Palms? I'd like to know if I need to worry about frying my Revo. At least they are all small enough to carry around in anti-static bags if needed....
We know better!;) That guy probably had nothing but eye/ear candy done to his car. I.E. all talk no action. Although though beating a 4cyl in a 6cyl isn't exactly an accomplishment (or even anything to be bragging about). I have seen a few Neons / Supras/RX-7's that would probably give you a run for your money.
btw...the Tiburon is my fiances, I have an Expresso
We had a group that did this in the morning before school, every other day, while we played hackey sack in the same courtyard. They never bothered anyone, and never had anything said to them about it. Of course I do live in the south, so I guess that the administration could choose too "overlook" some of the stuff that was going on if they felt like it...
The Thunderbird my fiance bought last month is the quietest PC in the house, and it is sitting right beside the TV in the Den. I know, I couldn't believe it when I turned it on, 3 fans & almost no noise.
It's a 2.0 in a Tiburon. And don't knock it until you drive it, as it also has a Variable Timing System. I've yet to have any problems keeping up with any other normally aspirated 4cyl, INCLUDING spanking a vaunted VTEC Integra on I-10 on the way home last Friday.
DirecPC would be one of thier competitors, which if they can cut a deal on DSS & Internet services, then I'll probably go with them instead. I wouldn't feel too bad about my neighbors subsidizing the cost of my DSS.
about $650 for setup & $50-$70 / month from Pegasus. I live WAY out in the boonies (we won't have Cable TV for 5 more years), and I was thinking about getting with my nieghbors (mostly rich engineer types who wanted to get away from the city) to see if they wanted to bury some cat-5 and split the cost of one of those Pegasus systems....
I believe I would shoot myself. We just had to run/walk a mile then we could go do whatever we wanted, basketball, softball, volleyball, hackey sack whatever. Hell even if the school doesn't have the funds for a basketball, bring your own. Running in circles for 45 minutes every day?
OMG....I am so glad I didn't become a (science) teacher like I was planning to in the 10th grade......Maybe the reason there aren't many good science teachers, is because the smart ones get out before it's too late (or have a Phd and make 55K per year like my H.S. History teacher)
Thats what the disclaimer on the bottom was for ;)
Jaysyn
This was before it was attached to the TV.

You can still get all of that stuff you mentioned, it just so much cheaper for the manufacturer to put everything onboard.

I had a guy do that in one of my classes too. Shorted out the classroom & most of the hallway, for about a 1/2 hour.

Why don't you try using an actual monopoly in your argument. Here let me help: Standard Oil, AT&T, Microsoft, US Steel etc, etc...
Jaysyn
yeah, but how long were they around for?
Jaysyn
If I'm still using Windows in 2008, someone please shoot me. Seven years is a long time in computing.
Jaysyn
...and that's also going to be the X-box's problem, Sony will still be making out well with theirs.....
Jaysyn
And let's not even get into the poor rastafarians & the fact that they can't (legally) take their sacrament.

I have to point out that 18 & 19 would be legal in every state. 17 & 16 is the age of consent in most southeren states.

You can do the same thing at most major airports in the U.S. It hasn't become a big problem, yet.
Jaysyn
that's right, winipcfg -> release -> renew -> Done. Win2k you don't have to reboot for either.
Jaysyn
...and I thought my 15 second BeOS boot was impressive....

Yeah, seeing as Cyrix JUST came out with a 700Mhz chip, I don't think we'll have to worry about them either.
