You're one of those hippies aint ya? When someone says "why do you drink Pepsi when I know you prefer Coke?" you give an answer like "Coke was sued for underpaying blacks in the 1990's and I've never forgiven them!" Choose the best and most cost effective product. Don't judge the company that makes it. Otherwise you're just fucking up the system. Instead of the most superior products being on the shelves we'll have substandard products dominating the market share because the people who make them care about the environment or share some other wacky political ideal with the boycotting public.
I believe Einstein said it best, when he said:
The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.
It's really easy not to believe in anything, as it makes fighting for what you believe in so much easier. The system (society) is far more fucked if you go around supporting abusive organisations because their unnecessary product is best, than if you make sacrifices and help to make society a better place.
I got a good Bsc Comp Sci from a good university, and couldnt get a IT job for a year, bare in mind this was just before 9/11 when I graduated I guess which might alter things..
I then went back and got an MSc in Internet Systems Development but when I was 'learning' I landed a part time development roll where I was hideously over worked and under paid, now 12 months after graduating I've packed in that job and as well as a BSc and an MSc (that noone cares about) I have 3 years of industry experience that counts.
At the moment I'm unemployed but job seeking and am getting interviews left right and center. Noone cares about my degrees, it's all do you have x years commercial experience in y language and z environment, which I do \o/
I guess IT positions are now like the media industry nowadays, where you have to start working for peanuts to get that much needed commercial experience and go on to better things later. Sucks.
I've just looked in to getting tickets for Batman Begins from the Vue cinema chain online, £6.75 + 50p booking fee which is like $13.50 USD:(
Not to mention when you get their if you want a coke or popcorn you're looking at another £5-6 ($9-11):(
And (no offence) the sizes of the drinks and popcorn are clear 'American' sizes, i.e. ranging from 'huge' to 'fucking huge', with 'fucking huge' costing only about 25p more than 'huge':(
You can buy the DVD when it comes out for pretty much the price of one adult cinema ticket, a coke and a popcorn.
It would be awesome if shows that will never see the light of day ever again were donated to some kind of PBS channel, rumour has it that there are countless programs that have been made, but are just sat on the shelves because noone want's to buy them..
Imagine an advertless channel, full of free shoes that none of the normal stations can justify paying for....aaaaaaaaaah nirvana!
The Neap0litan XviD-Ogg-MKV Walkthrough is totally awesome and shows you in a step by step manner how to create an XviD/Ogg/MKV from a DVD complete with subtitles, it is beyond awesome.
When picking hardware, I'll pick the hardware that's well suppported by linux every time. That means companies like Broadcom (they tend to not have any drivers for linux) won't get chosen by anyone wanting to run Linux.
The Linux Broadcom drivers for my motherboards nic are totally awesome thank you very much.
MP3s and JPGs do allow tags to contain extra data that will not effect how the music sounds or what the image looks like at all.
That's pretty irrelevent though as the whole point of this hack is that you change the sound or the image anyway, then add the extra data to make it hash correctly to a specified hash
I can copy music from my iRiver to my hdd without th e need for any such plugins, it's just like a removable hdd using the USB Mass Storage Device drivers.
iTunes is the only site where iPod users can legally download songs.
Is this really the only site where iPod users can legally download songs? It's a shame that the mass media can get away with spouting complete falacies such as this:(
There are many sites to get free, legal, mp3s from:
I'd love to see the Rockbox port for the H3x0, who cares about diagnol controls, being able to play Tetris, possibly against multiple opponents using the USB port and hub that it comes with would be totally awesome!
doing this with 2 normal usb key drives, a raid array with the striped data on them, you could save all kinds of secret stuff on them which would be useless unless you had both drives!
It could replace those security systems where 2 people have a key and there are 2 locks which must be opened at the same time for it to work.. just have 2 usb keys stripped, with a pgp key on them, which must be then inserted in to the security system at the same time for it to work or something
Yesterday I wanted to test Exeem, but as everyone knows it comes with Cydoor, so I was a little wary. So I installed Adaware and Microsoft Anti-Spyware beta. I ran Adaware and it found 1 dubious registry entry, that wasn't, and 8 tracker cookies, so I used it to clean the cookies. I then ran MSAS and it only picked up Kazaa, suggesting it may have installed spyware along with it. I run a fairly tight system, 3 firefox, so was happy with the results.
I then installed Exeem!
DUN DUN DUNAAH
I ran Adaware again, and it picked up nothing at all.
I ran MSAS again, and as well as finding Kazaa it picked up Cydoor, 2 clicks later and Cydoor was gone! To check I googled and found out how to manually remove Cydoor then went through my system by hand and indeed it was no longer there.
So what am I saying? MSAS is actually pretty good.

DVD Decryptor provided a really quick and easy way to do that before it was taken down :(

i think you just helped make my point :o

Since the 1700s, not a single earthquake in California that was over 6.5 has caused a tsunami there.
The media is so shit, scare scare scare scare scare, controlling US citizens with a blanket of fear :(

About 99.9999999% of them are written by angsty emo attention seeking cutters and have absolutly no worth while content.
The very few good ones seem more like personal websites focusing on a specific topic, rather than actual 'blogs'.

Watch the video - the entire file format is completely open.
He admitted that inside the ZIP
Cool, all they need to do is put a password on the zip file then the completly open format is protected by DMCA :o
anything named "operation" anything is propaganda
Yeah, cos Operation Overlord really sucked didnt it!

I pity you fools and your shiny white shackles!
I've left the software industry to become a gardner, in the hope of joining the military when my computer belly has gone.
What have you changed to?

In This Defiance bandOnline Tonight
John Peel sessions
until they start using this technology for porn
heh nice extrapolation
Oh come on, that's a rubbish analogy. More like:
You read in a public bulletin board detailed instructions for taking your own money out of a bank that is closed on a Sunday and you get arrested???
I'd love to see the Rockbox port for the H3x0, who cares about diagnol controls, being able to play Tetris, possibly against multiple opponents using the USB port and hub that it comes with would be totally awesome!

what a waste of money on Microsoft's part :(
