I've been using GNOME since Redhat 5.2 (iir) which is like 6 years or so, some of the changes I haven't liked e.g. Metacity with its total lack of 'Always on top' (which has been fixed apparently, havent tested), but look at all the gorgeous presents we've gotten, gdesklets, gstreamer, etc. Just because your favourite desktop moves some options about and takes some configuration away is no reason to whine and cry.

If you're so concerned, fork it and release a GNOMEL33T desktop for k-rad hax0rers that can compile their own kernels.

    P.S. gdesklets is really pretty

BitTorrent is nothing like a Denial Of Service attack, infact, it's the exact opposite.

If 99% of the population wants to copy music, and we live in a free world where Democracy wins against tyranny, why is it that 99% of the population are being oppressed by draconian ideals that are out of date in the modern world we live in? Why are they wrong in this democracy? Society should serve the many, not the few, and certanly not the dollar.

Maybe if the aggrieved parties are so concerned about money, they should just get a different job? Like everyone else who doesn't have enough money? Just like coal miners and town cryers have been superseded, so now have shit artists!

Also they only supply the drivers in rpm form, not even a .tgz

Whilst we are plugging a UK film I'd also like to advertie Deathwatch.

    From Amazon:

A small group of English soldiers find themselves in a labyrinth of abandoned German trenches in Deathwatch, a reworking of the classic British supernatural horror tale as a redemptive allegory amid the wider horror of the Great War. The very earth has had its fill of blood and this lost company may already be in hell: imagine the BBC TV film All the Kings Men (1999) crossed with Cube (1997), as realised by a young Ridley Scott. Only Charlie Shakespeare, an impressive Jamie Bell, is sufficiently innocent to realise the evil of the trenches is turning comrade against comrade, resulting in the gradually escalating carnage.

Ok, not entirely related to the main topic, but it's a good film and it's not often the UK actually put out a good film in a year, let alone 2 great films!
