In the country where I grew up, the lunch break was 2 hour long, while the class day was 4 hours in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. So you started school at 8am and finished at 6pm. That's an awful long day for north-american standards (start at 8 something and out before 2:30pm). Yet, I see an identical situation with TFA: when we returned to our class on the afternoon we were rested and had a second peak of productivity, while the kids in north-america have only one and by the time they reach 2pm, they're exhausted.
I agree with your post, but I'll post a comment about a concept that must be eradicated from your mind (and likely the minds of many): you do not consume entertainment. Entertainment is not a consumable. it isn't tangible. It can't be used up (except in the case of wear-outs). You experience entertainment.
I guess background and type of employment are important to consider. In my case, my wife is the one using "always", "never", etc like you describe and I'm the one trying to be as accurate in my speech as possible. One pet peeve while I have your attention: the "all over", as in "there's a mess all over the kitchen" while in fact, there are 3 spots on the counter top. Now, I know that as a dude, it is my job to take that input, translate it via a handy memorized cheat sheet ("all over" = "more than 1", "never" = "not recently",... ) and act accordingly. I still have to work on my output filter though, since it's still very rough, even after over a decade together.
As for the background and job type, I'm a programmer from a romantic language speaking country.
and if you don't want DRM crap and actually own the games, check out gog.com. I picked up Syberia there plus a handful of other games (9 in total) for less than $30.
I know you want it integrated, but you may want to try installing the Lightning extension to Thunderbird. It allows calendering and it's good enough that I can do everything I used to do with Outlook in my corporate job (send/receive meeting requests, check attendant availability, etc). The one thing I can't do is reply with the voting buttons.

that's why it is now that the unwashed masses (us) need to get prepared and build our own mesh-internet or join TOR or stuff like that before it becomes difficult.
I just bought a bluetooth headset/headphone combo from Arctic (the P311 model). It was about $45 + shipping. Incredible battery life (charged it once and it played music during the work day for a week). Plus, the microphone is built-in yet very capable. And it comes with A2DP and AVRCP. Not affiliated, but I did tons of research and want to spread the joy.

By the way, watch for the word "deceiving". It doesn't mean what you think it means. If you meant "décevant", then the proper word is "disappointing".

The french automaker Renault did this in the late 80s with the Espace minivan.
